Who wouldn't like a Nespresso machine. This is great and the aeroccinno a must, it makes sure the coffee is hot with hot milk. Necessary with all the machines to run water through first before making coffee, cleans the machine and makes the machine and cup hot. I bought this for my son who loves it. We have a U machine, but were lent a Pixie while ours was out for repair. Although I love the U machine for many reasons we loved the Pixie more. Like the fact that the pod does not drop so you can run a second amount of water through. I know you can with the U, but you have to be quick to press the water sizer before the pod drops. Also the Pixie feels more sturdy and I like actually pressing buttons rather than placing your finger over a light. The U has three size settings, but we never use the smallest so this machine is fine with only two sizes. Overall would recommend this machine. Haven't tried the Citz, but it would seem to be similar to the Pixie, only water container larger which is a plus point. The advantage of the U machine is that you can turn the water container to the side and therefore easier to see how much water left which is the best advantage for the U machine. Pixie water container rather small and you need to keep topping up more than the other two machines.

Overall very pleased with this purchase. it is simple to use and makes really good espresso. As a bonus it takes up very little space on the kitchen counter. The Aeroccino unit is quick and froths/heats the milk brilliantly its only drawback being that the quantity it makes is only sufficient for one person and it is advisable to rinse it out before refilling. for another cup. If you do not rinse it leads to milk residue being burnt onto the internal base.Unlike Nespresso"s other machines which are manufactured in China i believe the Pixie is still made in Switzerland and is not all plastic.

I purchased this machine for a bargain price of £110 for work use after buying the Citiz for home use. I calculated that it would pay for itself after 47 days of not buying a latte on my way to work! Of course it also came with the Nespresso £75 offer which made it even more attractive. This machine seems a little noisier than the Citiz but I think that may be because this one is on top of a filing cabinet and not a solid worktop. The quality of the coffee is great and the service from Nespresso regarding customer service is extremely high.You need to ensure that the milk is very cold if you want to make cappuccino coffee. I thought the frother was not working properly but when I checked online it was soon very obvious that others have had this problem. Just use the milk straight from the fridge and you will get a fantastic foam! I have just finished a double ristretto latte. Heaven! I would recommend this machine especially if you don't have a lot of room as you can have the pixie in one area and the aerocino in another. My Citiz takes up more room but that is not a problem as I have plenty of workspace.

This combo of the Pixie Nespresso coffee machine (which takes the original capsules) and the accompanying Aeroccino, which heats and froths up your milk, is highly recommended. I took delivery of this about a month ago, and it really does do what it says on the packet. Both the coffee machine and the milk frother are SO easy to use, and make for a lovely cup of cappuccino. And, of course, you can just use the coffee machine to make an espresso if you wish, as it has two control buttons - one for a longer longer burst of coffee, and the other for a more concentrated small dose. Since lockdown (full and partial), I've been suffering from withdrawal symptoms from my daily habit of take-away coffee from my local coffee place in London Bridge,, Spianata, and this combo has helped filled that gap!
