Holds up to high winds
It wasn’t the easiest thing to assemble, but it also wasn’t too difficult. We have had this awning now for 11 months and it has held up surprisingly well. It can even handle the 30-40mph winds we have here, where we live - even if we forget to lower the shade! (Talk about impressive!) The only complain is that in the extreme heat it faded rather quickly to a very dingy gray. But for the lovely shade it provides to our French doors, it is a solid purchase. We love them!

Nice Awning
I grow and sell produce and have a little wagon that needed some extra shade so I attached this awning to it and so far it has really worked well! I’ve had it about a month now in North central PA and so far it has done its job. It was not built as rugged as I would have hoped but it has stood up so several rain storms and some wind so I really can’t complain. I’m just happy it attached to my wagon so easily!

Be aware of what you’re getting
Be aware of what you’re getting This awning is . . . Ok, when it’s not broken. It provides shade on part of my patio and is functional in good weather (i.e., not raining). I sadly bought at the highest price time ($160) and didn’t insist on having seller replace the item when I got the wrong [ugly] color. Seller didn’t reply to my message so I dropped it. Dumb. I really should have gotten a refund and returned this. Here’s what I wish I knew before we installed it: 1. if the awning catches rain because you forgot to roll it up, it will come apart on one side when you try to remove the rain—no matter how careful you are. I dislike going to the patio after a surprise (or not surprise) rain and find it sagging in the middle. We still haven’t figured out a good way to remove the rain without having the awning fall apart on one side 2. putting it back together is a pain because of cheap plastic parts. I can’t wait till they break, and they will break since we have to fix it every other week or so. And cheap hard plastic doesn’t last. 3. It’s not as deep as you think, or hope. Measure carefully. It’s shallow. 4. The price fluctuates wildly. We got ours for 159.99. Now it’s 79.99. Just wait, if you want it. 5. We got the wrong color. We ordered cream. We got beige, with NO explanation. I should have returned it, but it’s a total pain to do that. 6. WOULD I GET THIS AGAIN? NOPE. NO, I WOULD NOT. With all the issues—poor plastic components, falling off one side if it happens to rain, shallow depth (my fault—i should have measured better), getting the wrong color (beige, ugh!!) without notice, and paying way too much at the time—159.99—pay a little extra or use those sheer triangular awnings from Lowe’s. They work a LOT better. And after you pay, the issue will be whether it’s a good product. No. No, it’s not. Buyer beware.

Just what I needed!
I was looking for sun and rain cover for a portion of our back deck, not the entire deck. This awning fit our need perfectly. We have an overhang section on the second floor of our house, so the idea of setting up a free standing awning that we could secure from the overhang to the deck floor just made great sense. We went with the 13’ awning so that we could cover the back door and some cooking items (grill, griddle and pizza oven) and have protection from walking from the inside of our house to the deck. Box arrived from Amazon with the contents well packaged. Opening the box, I accounted for all the parts and laid them out on the deck to start assembling. With my wife’s help, the entire awning was assembled in 1.5 hours. We were in no rush and took our time to follow the directions in the booklet. Very easy to assemble with few tools needed. We did need two small ladders to stand on so that we could attach the awning to the support poles. Opening and closing the awning is simple and easy. You can also adjust the height of the side support arms. We really like this awning and again we’re happy to find this for what we were looking to add to our deck. Also, the price of this awning is a real steal!

This retractable awning does the job! We love it!
First off, I assembled this awning by myse!lf. It took roughly an hour and a half with some stop and go. The instructions were a little confusing. I did lay everything out as suggested. I did have the shade itself upside down which was a little setback, afterwards it was smooth sailing. I leaned the awning against the wall in the space and slowly started adjusting the legs to the proper height. This awning is resting under the gutter for top support with the bottom legs on the deck. Very easy to wind and unwind. It's had a little wind and rain...so far no problems. Oh and once in place it is very sturdy. I recommend this product, just do not unwrap any before assembly..... unwrap as you go along.

Easy to assemble, looks great, but some minor issues
First, this thing is easy to assemble, even with no experience. It can be a bit cumbersome for 1 person to assemble and move, but it's not impossible. The legs are well built, if a little lacking in any sort of "presets", I think just simple 1/4in apart stripes on the side of the legs would make proper setup much easier and quicker, rather than eyeballing it and adjusting. The joints and intersections are made of a softer plastic, which is good, especially for when parts bend out of place during installation, again 2 people is probably best for this, but I fear long exposure to the sun might cause issues later. Lastly, the handle for the adjuster works well, but I would have preferred a way to take it off for the season, rather than having to disconnect it from the top of the unit.

Badly needed shade.
I like the fact that it didn't have to be permanently installed on my house I needed some shade on my back porch, but it was too expensive for me to hire a someone to install a roof. This was under$200. And for a younger person, probably wouldn't have taken so long to put together. It took me almost 3 hours and a lot of patience, but I'm 73 years old. After assembly I had to contact my son in law to help me set it up outside. It looks great and glad that I purchased it. I hope it lasts a long time. If it looks like it's going to rain or very windy, I make sure to rollit up.************ It's been 3 months since instalation and I am extremely happy with my decision to make this purchase. I roll it up if I think it's going to rain or storm .It remains secure even through storms. I forgot to roll it up once and because it's water proof it collected water and would have caused damage from the weight of the water collecting.I'm thinking about purchasing another one to put in front of my garage. It would be great for shade while sitting outside in front or for yard sales.

No recomendable
El producto no es de la medida que se publica, es más chico y ni del color que se describe. Instructivo mediocre y calidad dudosa. Cero recomendable. No entiendo como pueden vender un producto que se describe de una forma y resulta una cosa muy diferente.
