Hybrids are awesome.
I've used Ernie ball slinky's for a long time now. I recently built a p bass from fender parts and I thought I'd try some hybrid slinky's. I play a lot of pop punk and now a little more alternative indie esq music. So needed/wanted to try something different. Got to say I love them. A nice bright tone with a great deep ring from the E string. Great quality as always. Fit a standard 34" p bass no problem. Would highly recommend.

Great sounding
I've used La Bella strings for a long time but I wanted something different (and cheaper!) these Ernie Ball strings are really good sounding and have a real edge to them. I don’t think they’ll last as long and they certainly don’t feel as good, but they sound great.

So far, love them!
Is it my new Earnie Ball strings that make my bass now sound better than it ever has before? Or is is that I got a good friend to set up my bass properly and sort the action out etc? I suspect the latter has more to do with it, but she chose these strings for me (she uses these, too, and she knows more about what she is doing than me!), and all I can say is that my bass now rocks!Sound wise, it does sound better, I think, and that is likely the new strings. I can't comment yet on longevity or durability as they're still quite new. But so far, and for this price, very impressed.
