The Republic of Tea – Banana Cuppa Chocolate Tea Bags, Low-Caffeine, 36 Servings

Mom loves the flavor. It’s chocolate banana tea. It’s kinda artificial tasting to me but she likes it so I’ll give it five stars. 50 in a tin and it’s decaffeinated. Sometimes it’s hard to find good flavors that are also decaffeinated.

Great tea. After reading some of the reviews I was worried about the strength, or lack of, the banana flavoring. The banana and chocolate shine through perfectly. It is listed on the container as being low caffeine for those that would like to know. I find it just good enough for a nice after dinner snack.

I had this flavor of tea under protest and was shocked at how good and flavorful it was. So, I purchased this tin of tea bags and the flavor is not there like the individual wrapped tea bag. Same company only difference is the flavor is just not quite there. I assume it is because it’s not individually wrapped, maybe they are old or something I don’t know. Still drinking them so not too bad.

I'm generally a huge fan of The Republic of Tea and I love just about everything that they put out. This one I thought was...just ok. When I made it the first time, the smell was heavenly. I bought these for a student event and the smell of the tea filled the room. The taste? It was all right. Not quite chocolaty, not quite banana-y. Some kind of middle ground approximation of what these things would taste like together. I was only disappointed because how the taste compares to how good it smells. As tea, it's still pretty good tea.

I love chocolate and bananas together the most. Add peanut butter and I’m in heaven. I really like this tea. I use two teabags in a 12 ounce mug and steep for 10 minutes. Yes, pricey that way. I add two Sweetleaf Stevia packets and 4 tablespoons of steamed almond milk. Delicious! Last night I added 1t of cocoa powder, couple drops of vanilla extract, and stevia in the almond milk and steamed then added to the tea. Was divine. Like banana hot chocolate. I drink this tea about twice a day. I have another brand of chocolate banana tea coming soon so I’ll be able to compare. Look, if you’re a tea purist calm down and buy another brand! It’s flavored tea for crying out loud. Maybe try Art of Tea, Chocolate Monkey flavor. I used to drink that, it’s very nice. Keep Calm and Drink Your Tea!!!

OMG this stuff tastes terrible! And of course you cannot get a refund. It taste artificial and just disgusting and no hint of chocolate at all. Waste of money don’t buy it.
