I love this stuff so much that after trying it twice I bought a bottle each for my mum and my flatmate. I have tried a lot of tans but usually get bored because applying them well is too time consuming and most go very patchy as they fade. This one is different. PROCESS: I exfoliate well with the bondi sands mitt in the shower beforehand and slap a small amount of moisturiser on my elbows and ankles. Once dry after my shower, I spray this (staying away from joints) straight onto my skin and then buff it in with a cheap tanning mitt, using the excess for my knees, ankles, elbows, and the backs of my hands. I apply it to my face and ears with either an old makeup brush or a smaller tanning mitt. DRYING: It dries within a few minutes and doesn’t transfer much, if at all - I apply it just before going to sleep and my white bedsheets are still sparkling. Barely any stickiness as it dries which is great - it doesn’t feel like you have product on your skin, and it doesn’t smear around once applied so little risk of patchiness. SMELL: It smells really lovely and coconutty when you first put it on. Over a few hours it will begin to smell like fake tan, that’s unavoidable, but it is much less strong than other formulas I have used, and goes away with a quick shower in the morning. EASE OF USE: It’s pretty foolproof, despite not having a strong colour guide. Make sure you apply it with a mitt and buff it in really well until it’s dry. It takes me less than ten minutes to do my whole body and face and dry enough to put loose clothes on without ruining the tan. This product does not need washing off, though you might want a quick shower after a few hours to get rid of tell tale fake tan smell. COLOUR: I have light warm toned skin (NC15 in mac) and find this gets me considerably darker all over with just one application. Two applications on consecutive days and I look like I’ve spent a fortnight on the beach. On pink or cool skin light skintones it might read a touch too warm toned and orangey, I am unsure, but it’s perfect if you already have a yellow undertone. LONGEVITY: Every tan I’ve ever used fades really patchy regardless of how well it went on, especially on the insides of my elbows. This one doesn’t do that - it seems to fade evenly everywhere. If I exfoliate so I can top it up, it comes off evenly to the same extent all over while still leaving quite a lot of colour. I got this on sale for £8 which is an absolute steal, but I wouldn’t hesitate to buy it at the full price of £14. For how good it is it’s a bargain

I’m surprised this product doesn’t have 5* overall. I loved it. I have a pale complexion and find it hard to find a fake/gradual tan, that doesn’t look caked or have an orange tinge. I used St Tropez for years, which was great. But I was recommended this product to try, and so glad I did. It’s the best I’ve ever had. It glides so smoothly for full coverage, and develops quickly. I’ve put it on to sleep on overnight, and it’s only been 2 hours and I already have a lovely tan. It smells lovely, and doesn’t give your skin that sticky feeling after application. So far, has not stained anything I’ve come into contact with, and was able to put my clothes back on within a minute after application, as it dried so quickly. So there was no awkward wait (usually have to wait 10-15 minutes to completely dry with most tans). Hasn’t blocked my pores either. When you apply tan, if you look closely at your skin, your pores have little dark specs on them. This blockage ends with me breaking out a few days after application. However, I’m hopeful that since this product hasn’t caused that blockage, that this won’t happen to my sensitive skin. Also, I have ice blonde hair. So blending fake tan on my face with my hair line can be tricky. However, this tan seems to blend quite nicely and hasn’t left me with a clear line around my face and hasn’t tinged my baby hairs orange. Quick delivery. Smells lovely and NOT like fake tan. Easy application and dries quickly. Streak free and a brown not orange glow. No pore blockage (at present). Tan is apparent almost immediately. What’s not to love? I’ll definitely be purchasing again.

Very easy to apply, smells great, develops fast, minimal dry time and has a nice finish. I'd say the nice finish only really lasts 24hrs or so then needs to be removed as goes patchy. Definitely not buildable either (not sure if it claims to be or not) but I did try and made it worse. For me I'll probably only use this if I forget to or don't have time to do a full normal tan before an event as it is great for that purpose

Used Bondi Sands many times before. It’s an excellent product. This is currently at a Super amazing price £7.80. It’s a definite buy. Tan looks natural, I spray it on at night, let it dry, it says mins, but reality is a good 20 min, 30 min to be sure. About 1/6th of the bottle is adequate for all over tan, it darkens over night, so don’t go crazy with it. Had complements today about how lovely tan is. Always had natural looking tan with Bondi Sands, except the mousse I used once, years back which was a disaster! Lol! I don’t bother with the mitt. You should do really tho to be honest. I just use hands, make sure you wash your palms with soap straight after if you do it this way. Have a good scrub in the shower before hand, harder areas of skin / dry / dead skin, will tan much darker, be particularly mindful of elbows, they need only a thin coat, otherwise will go a fair bit darker. I leave mine to cure over night, if you want a lighter tan, then wash off after 4 - 6 hours. Darker tan, leave on for 10 - 12 hours. (I do and it looks lovely) Lasts for a week, I also have Bondi Sands gradual tan for a gentle top up every now and then. Final tip: keep your chin up high whilst it’s drying, if you look down creases in the neck will go twice as dark, giving you some distinctive zebra stripes. Chin up as much as possible as long as possible. So overall: 1. Good scrub in shower, exfoliate, dry off fully. 2. Don’t go mad with it, it’s not an instant tan, it develops 3. Keep that chin up till fully dried. 4. If worried about it getting too dark, shower off after 6hrs this will stop it developing further. 5. If it’s raining, for goodness sake don’t put it on in the morning and go outside! (I learned that the hard way!) best to use in the evening at home. 6. If used immediately before bed time and you have white sheets you will get some transfer, this washes out no problem. Best to apply a couple hours before bed to avoid this all together. I usually put on about 7 / 8pm. Bed time 11pm, shower 7 / 8am. If your new to Bondi Sands, it will probably become your new self tan, I’ve tried loads and it’s by far the best and most natural tan. If your new to self tanning, just go easy with it, a little goes a long way. Remember, it develops over several hours, it’s not an instant tan! Think I read a review of someone using the entire bottle! Don’t do that!! At this price it’s an absolute bargain. I will certainly stock up! 5***** product!

Love this stuff, offers such a nice natural golden tan. Double layer it for an even deeper tone! I apply in the morning and go about my day, dries after about 5 mins and doesn’t absolutely stink. Never streaks and fades so evenly, no nasty patchiness.

I had high hopes for this but I found it just wasn't dark enough for me. The smell going on is lovely and being an oil the application was really nice. I normally put it on before going to bed but I've a wedding reception to go to and couldn't chance a new product the night before. I applied this at 10am and come 1pm I couldn't see any difference. Because there isn't a "guide" colour as such I asked my hubby what he thought when he got in from work at 3.30pm and he couldn't tell I'd used anything. There was a faint difference but nothing amazing. I'd say this would be good as a tan maintainer after your holidays but if you're looking at transforming bottle white legs then this won't cut it. I've had to go back to St Tropez dark for my legs and will probably use this on my top half to even my natural tan out. For the money I wouldn't buy again

I find my desired look is using it every night for 3 days as it gradually gets darker but even after the first use it’s noticeable! Doesn’t go streaky, easy to apply, no horrible smell and is water resistant. My favourite tan ever!

This is my favorite self tanner right now. It’s so easy to use and you don’t need much at all. I do about 3–4 sprays per leg below the knee, 5 sprays for each thigh, and 2–3 sprays per arm, you get the idea. Whatever’s left over, I use on my face. I do this every 2-3 days after the shower. It does not make me smell like self-tanner. There’s no extra residue from an inky color guide and it’s much gentler than a lot of other tanners. The typical self tan smell comes from aggressive DHA reacting in your skin, typically in Dark or ultra dark formulas (they can make you smell even after you shower at times bc they’re so strong), and I think the lighter formula and lack of residue really help avoid that. I’m not sure if being an oil plays a role too, but there’s no smell for me and I’ve been self tanning since 2006 lol. It smells like coconut when I spray it and that’s it. It absorbs and dries fast as a dry oil, is super easy to use on hands, feet, and elbows, and develops within a few hours and is the full color within 12 hours I’d say. It doesn’t absorb in or stain those dry areas as bad as regular self tanners either, where you’d typically put lotion first so it doesn’t look crazy, I think because it’s an oil and adding moisture? Thats just me guessing tho. Mistakes with this are generally a lot more forgiving which definitely makes this a more beginner friendly self tanner in that aspect. Just be mindful not to miss any spots since there’s no color guide. You can rub your mitt over the same spot 20 times and it won’t streak if you’re doing it all at the same time, just to make sure you didn’t miss any spots. So don’t be afraid of overlapping. I still use a tanning mitt and buff my hands and it comes out perfect every time. It’s really customizable too. If you want to be darker, do more sprays. Or just do a thin layer again the next day. Fading is also good. No patches. A good spray tan does come from a good product but majority comes from good skincare. Make sure you shower, shave and exfoliate before applying, moisturize on days you’re not using the tanner, and at least wash and scrub your body daily to remove dead skin for an even fade. I can also shave my legs and apply this without my pores looking crazy because there’s no dark color guide settling in my pores and giving me self tanner strawberry legs. This stuff is really a gem!

Das ist mit Abstand der beste Selbstbräuner den ich jemals verwendet habe. Lässt sich traumhaft gut auftragen, der Duft ist ein Traum. Wie Urlaub. Absolut nicht fettend. Die Farbe nicht wie bei den meisten "orangestichig". Und ich kann ihn wunderbar mit meiner Gesichtspflege kombinieren und sehe aus wie von der "Sonne geküsst". Eine absolute Empfehlung!
