I’ve found the XLS Medical Hunger Buddy capsules to be really helpful in keeping my hunger in check. Before these, my stomach used to sound like a volcano threatening to erupt by late afternoon, which often led to frantic snacking (or what I like to call 'emergency nibbling'). Since I started using these, it's like the volcano has decided to take a nap, and it's been much easier to regulate my portions and avoid those sneaky, extra snacks. It’s just a gentle effect that makes me feel fuller for longer, kind of like having a polite inner voice that says, 'Hey, maybe you don’t need to eat that entire bag of crisps right now.' It really helps me stick to my meal plan without the constant temptation to raid the kitchen. I really appreciate how natural it feels, I’m still eating, just less of it, and not because I'm forcing myself, but because I actually feel satisfied. I also like that they’re easy to take, no funky tastes or surprises, which is always a win. They’ve just slipped into my routine, and it's almost like having an invisible food bodyguard, quietly keeping me in check. If you struggle with portion control or get those hunger pangs like I do, these are definitely worth a try. They’ve made a big difference for me, and the best part, no hassle, just peace between me and my stomach.

The first thing i noticed about this little plastic bottle of tablets was how small it was. It dispenses the tablets out one by one. Having read that other people say that there wasn't the correct amount of tablets in the bottle is probably correct as they are crammed in so tight it is hard to get them dispensed out and for the size of the bottle i can't imaging that it has ALL of them in it. The second thing is, having tested these tablets myself they didn't do anything, not even help take the edge of feeling hungry and i took the correct dose of two tablets like it said. I drink plenty of water excetra. To be honest, it's probably better to just allow your stomach to naturally shrink and save wasting your money on these tablets. The fact that some people have written it works for them, that may be so? But personally i won't recommend them. The tablets are quite large is size to swallow and you do need a drink of water to wash them down with. For all i know they could be filled with baking flour as that's what the white substance looks like inside the capsules? This is just my honest and personal opinion.

So I’ve been using this product for just over a week. It definitely works when used as instructed however….and there’s no nice way to say it but….you fart….ALOT! I’m not talking a few little pops, and they STINK! I’ve cleared out 2 stores from the stench! My partner and dog have vacated to the spare room of a night because as soon as I close my eyes there she blows! Pretty sure I am to blame for global warming solely based on my flatulence from this product. If you stick a cork in there, I’d be going down for murder, that sucker would fire out at over 100 miles an hour popping some poor bugger in the face and they’d pop their clogs on the spot. Whilst I’ve been losing weight I’ve been gaining inches on my waist due to sheer bloating, have to cancel that hot air balloon trip I had planned, just take a few of these at once and I’ll be up, up and away. Safe to say I’ve had to stop using them. Have a jelly pot instead Huns, works the same without the shame.

Thrilled to bits with Hunger Buddy. Am amazed and delighted how well it works. My story is that I quit smoking 8 months ago, and since then have had an uncontrollable appetite, especially after the evening meal right through till bedtime. I would just eat non stop all evening and I couldn't control it no matter how hard I tried. It was real binge type eating of cakes, sweets, chocolate. Then I started on Hunger Buddys.. They had immediate effect right from the first time I took them. I now no longer have any uncontrollable appetite urges and I no longer eat all evening. I just have an ordinary evening meal and then am completely full and don't have anything else to eat until the following morning. I used to consume an extra 800 to 1000 calories with my binge eating in the evenings, and that has all disappeared. Because the evenings were my most difficult time I take 2 Hunger Buddies at about 5pm and 2 Hunger Buddies at about 9pm. So I only take 4 a day and that works for me, even though it says you can take as many as 9 a day. But I don't need that because 4 keeps my appetite well under control. The best bit is not feeling starving hungry all the time, it's such a relief to feel normal again. And of course, needless to say, weight loss becomes incredibly painless.

So I’ve been using these for around 2 weeks and it instantly started helping with eating less and cravings, both being a huge plus. However days 8 onwards and I’ve barely felt hungry so these plus the water I’ve been drinking having given me an adverse side effect of urgent bathroom breaks and I don’t mean to pee 😬.. so I’ve had to cut back to using only before my evening meal to prevent over indulging

Okay, so, disclaimer - No, they don't work if you are expecting a result on a par with wiring your jaw shut or tying you to the bed. Nor will they physically prevent you hoovering an entire box of celebrations in one evening. (What? it could happen.) However, they are wonderful at getting me past the "oh, my word, I am so hungry," mid afternoon (or mid morning) slump when combined with a restricted calorie intake. Take with at least a glass of water, and make sure you drink at least the 2 litres recommended (during the day, not with each tablet, that would be a challenge.) I recommend swallowing several times as you take the tablet, rather than downing the whole glassful in one go, which can make the tablet get stuck in your gullet. If it does get stuck, eat a little bit of something (carrot, apple, etc) to shift it along. You still need willpower and a desire to not hoover said box of celebrations. If you take one late in the evening make sure it's gone down before you lie down. I don't take the full dose: I take one with a liquid (XLS shake) breakfast, one mid morning, one mid afternoon and one in the evening. I don't need them to curb my portions, as that has never been my problem. For the reviewer that said they were expensive, I recommend a price comparison with the average workplace snack. (They are definitely cheaper.) I did have difficulty getting the first few pills out of the dispenser, but it gets easier as you use them.

I don't think this product was effective. I followed the instructions and still felt hungry. Waste of money but the supplier was very efficient and arrived on time.

To be fair I should state that I am on long term steroid treatment which causes hunger. This product did absolutely nothing to help with that. 20 minutes after taking my first dose of it, I was so hungry that I was scooting round the kitchen eating whatever came to have. I'm not talking a bit peckish, I was ravenous in an unpleasant, uncomfortable way. I have taken 2 doses today and I am STARVING. Save your money. These tablets are pointless.
