Glad I got it! It's lightweight, sharp enough, easy to use because of the spring action, and reasonably priced. I'd buy it again or purchase one for a gift.

I purchased these to help trim a section of garden where the groundcover likes to over grow onto the patio. They are lightweight, durable, very sharp and cut cleanly, and overall I’m really pleased with them. They’ve sat in my deck box for a few months now with no rust. They will *not* cut woody sections, so keep that in mind - I’m also convinced that they won’t cut fingers off, so I assume they’re pretty safe. My only concern is that unless you are cutting at 90 degree angles, the scissor mechanism shuts off, which makes it a little cumbersome to get into the little nooks and crannies I need it to (and I also have to get lower to the ground), but overall, these are absolutely a good pair of shears.

4th time to buy shears is charm. These Fiskars really work. Sharp, blade rotates easily, short blade but long enough, grip fits my hand, does not take undue force to operate so hand doesn’t tire. My edging never looked better. This one’s a winner!

Fiskar is usually a very durable and good scissor for household use, but these Fiskar grass shears are not durable enough or strong enough for cutting or trimming Korean grass which is a very thick and invasive grass, not like the grass in a normal yard. Compared to my household scissors (which I am using now in place of the grass shears), the blades do not glide together smoothly, and, in fact, they sometimes even lock up. These are probably good for regular grass, but my warning to everyone: they are not good on Korean grass. Also, just for further info, the Fiskar household scissors state on the blade "USA"; whereas these grass shears have no recognition as to where the were manufactured. Your guess is as good as mine.

ハンドルは垂直方向に動き、ブレードは水平方向に動きます。４００坪ほどの少し広めで傾斜のある庭の手入れに使っていますが、芝の手入れ等、下草の処理に重宝しています。使用後の手入れはちゃんとしていますが、１０年ほど使っても切れ味が大きく落ちることもなく快適な使い心地です。ハンドルの形状も手にフィットして良い感じです。我が家では２本が活躍中です。

Great shears for small areas. I have a couple of small grassy patches in my predominantly wildlife friendly garden. They will also be useful for the path edges on my allotment. I have small, arthritic hands and I have found them easy to use. I do wear gloves all the time gardening so I have had no trouble blister or pain wise. The ability to alter the cutting angle is a real bonus. I do make sure they are cleaned and oiled after every use and advise the couple of minutes it takes to do this. I have now given away my electric strimmer that killed baby frogs and also took the grass down to bare earth level in patches! Now I can see and remove any small creatures or in the case of the odd newt wait until they have trundled back into the pond. The grass looks neat, like a well grazed field. All in all I am a happy customer.

Cuts grass easily around difficult corners and curves. The locking button is at a place that often interferes with the right thumb. It needs a bit of adjustment by the operator to keep the thumb lifted at an awkward angle while using it.
