Review: An incredible product for the price. - I've owned numerous phone mounts over the years and nearly all of them have been more expensive than the OsoMount 360. However, none of them have been anywhere near as good as this product. When you mount it to your windscreen it gives a reassuring rock solid grip but releases really easily if you wish to reposition it. I've found that I prefer mine mounted onto the dashboard to the right of the steering wheel. It sits just as solidly there as it does on the windscreen but now it doesn't obscure my vision at all. The jaws inspire confidence as well, holding the phone firmly but not ridiculously tightly. I find I can mount my iPhone 5c one handed but need to use both hands to insert my iPhone 6 Plus. Despite a huge difference in size this cradle handles both phones with ease. Should it be of any interest I don't use a fitted case on the iPhone 5c but the 6 Plus lives in the leather Apple case and this fits in the OsoMount easily. I have been using this product daily since July 2014 without any issue at all until last week when the spring on the left side jaw broke. For the price that I'd paid for it I very nearly just ordered a replacement unit but then I remembered that it came with a free two year warranty. I decided to email the firm about the broken spring but to be honest I expected to be fobbed off and told that the warranty wouldn't be applicable in this case. How wrong I was. I had a reply from Darren with 5 minutes of my email being sent and a promise of a replacement head being sent out the very same day. And he was good to his word. Within 24 hours of sending my email my Osomount had a brand new head fitted to it, truly outstanding customer service. In summary, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Osomount 360 Grip Mount. It's a fantastic product and it is backed up by truly excellent customer service should anything go wrong. Review: Great Dash mount - I ordered this phone mount to replace a windscreen phone mount I had before. The old one I had was cheap and could only be mounted on the windscreen. Plus it had a flexi arm which had the tendency to vibrate while driving, which would also cause some noise while driving and a constant distraction. After it finally gave up, I decided to go for a dashboard mount this time so that windscreen would be without marks left from the suction. Ordered the Osomount 360 Grip Mount after reading various reviews. Initials impression of the mount is great. The packaging itself is quite neat. The box contains the Osomount 360 Grip mount, an adhesive pad and a manual. I have got a car with a textured dash, so was a bit skeptical about the suction and grip, but not anymore. After having used it for the last few weeks the mount is solidly attached to my dash without any vibration or movement. The instructions are simple enough to follow. Just make sure you clean the surface of any dust before applying. The suction pad is washable so if it get dust on it, you can always wash it off. It says one handed operation on the manufacturer's website but it needs some practice to get there as the clamp is a bit tighter than expected. Once applied to the dash you can then adjust the ball joint to get the correct viewing angle. The phone I am using with this is a Nexus 5 which fits fine. It also comes with a 2 year warranty, so if there are any issues you can always contact the manufacturer and send it back, hopefully without any hassle. The mount is a bit expensive but it is worth its value. All in all a good purchase that I am not regretting at all so far. Update [11/02/2016]: After a year and 2 days the spring loaded clasp on this has broken. Will try and get in touch with the manufacturer to request a replacement under the 2 year warranty period. Has not left me down so far other than this incident. Update [30/10/2016]: Had contacted desertcart about this and was sent a replacement promptly. So far its working well as expected. Just hope it does not break again once the warranty period finishes.

Best window mount that even fits iPhone 6Plus
Simply the best window mount I've ever owned. I can confirm that it even fits my new iPhone 6Plus and case. The suction is terrifically efficient - it's never fallen off in heat, or damp, and has been repositioned a couple of times and still retains is effectiveness. The grip is perfect - a decent combination of a tense spring and ridged grip means you don't get any slippage. The best technique for positioning your phone within the grip, however, is to clamp the bottom of your iPhone, rather than the middle (as the pictures show). This stops the phone tilting away from you whenever you press the Home button. UPDATE: 2017 I have bought a second one of these for our other car since this review (in a nice white colour). The first one has since had to be replaced - there is a spring in both the left and right side of the grip, and both eventually snapped. However, it's saving grace is that it still functions perfectly well for the iPhone 6Plus with a working spring on just one side or the other (the tension of the spring loaded side against the snapped side is still good enough). Without question, it's still an annoyance, but I lived with it for many more months before the second spring snapped and I was forced to buy a replacement. Considering it get's used daily, I still consider this the best cradle I've ever had, and highly recommend it. Perhaps the manufacturers might consider sourcing more durable springs in the future.

It feels sturdy enough and the suction is good
It feels sturdy enough and the suction is good, very good. However, getting a phone into the device was a mission. Judging by all the 5* star reviews I'm assuming it should have been relatively easy to do. The grips were very tight, no way was I opening them up with a single hand. Maybe I just had a very tight mount and it needed to loosen up slightly. The last thing is that it didn't even fit in my car (Nissan Micra 02). Well it could've but I didn't want the mount being stuck in the middle of the windscreen, obscuring my vision! I will be sending back for a refund unfortunately. In the meantime it looks like I'll have to buy another car mount, this time with a longer flexible neck. They may not be as sturdy or secure but they do the job and actually fit in my car.

Last Car-mount you'll ever have to buy for a phone.
As I've changed my phones, I've always changed my car-mount. Occasionally I've gone with a 'universal' option, but then was so dissatisfied had to bin it and buy a dedicated one. I'd reached the point where I'd simply accepted that whenever I changed my phone, there'd me a mount surcharge. I came across this just as I was about to bite the bullet on the offical HTC One mount, and saw mention of this in the reviews - and am so so glad I bought it. First thing to note is that it's not cheap. Second thing is that it's the best value mount you'll ever buy. Somebody has sat down, looked at every niggling issue we've faced and engineered the issues to oblivion. First off, it looks good. Maybe not the smallest mount, but has nice continuous geometric shape in a subtle black - with some bright red jaws to indicate where the phone goes. Moreover it has a quality feel throughout - just look at it in it's box, and the price isn't an issue. I'm just mounting this on my car and leaving it (and incidentally allows with me or my wife with different phones, to just push them it at will). Working through the "components of a car mount" The sucker is a great big slab of that sticky rubber that used to be used for those toys that would 'roll down a window'. Just push it against the window and it sticks, pull the suction lever and it's impossible to remove. As with the toys, if you get lint on it, you can just wash it off with a bit of soapy water. Ball joint is perfect - tension it and it simply doesn't move as you drive - but you can still manually twist it (i.e. if you want to put the phone in landscape or portrait once it's mounted). "The Phone Gripper" definitely the most impressive bit of the design. As the advert states you can just shove your phone into the jaws and remove it one-handed - yet once in there it doesn't shift a bit. In the name of science I popped my phone in and gave it a really good shake and it didn't budge. It's really quite satisfying to just push your phone into the jaws as you get in, and pluck it out when you leave - no levers, no clips, no swearing etc. My Osmomount also came with a 3M adhesive flexible 'sticker' (idea being that if you want to mount this to your dashboard, rather than the windscreen, it give you a more stable mount). I appreciate their thoroughness, but seems a bit unnecessary. Due to the sucker being so thick, soft and sticky anyway, I found I could mount it directly on the curved and textured parts of my dash without any issue at all without having to use it. Still, if your car has a more curvaceous interior than mine, you might find this helps. My summary, if I can come up with one, is simply that this will be the last car-mount you'll ever have to buy. There are very few products you can recommend unequivocally, but glad to say this is one of them.

The best phone holder I've come across by a mile...
Without question, this is the single best phone holder I've come across. And I've used a few in my time! It's so good, I ordered 3 more: for my wife, her sister and my mum... It's universal - it fits my HTC One M8, my wife's iPhone 7+, my Mum's iPhone 5S and it holds them steady; there's no wobbling about when you go down a bumpy road. It's also easy to slip the phone in and out, yet the rubberised grips (the red bits) hold the device securely. You can also easily loosen the angle adjuster to rotate your phone if you want to use it to record video out of the front window from your phone (which is cool if you're into off-roading or race-driving). It has an unusual sucker which makes it so good. However it has both positive and negative points: + The sucker is sticky gel, not rubber - this means that the holder doesn't randomly fall off your windscreen after a couple of months and sticks securely (mine stuck solid for 10 months before it was removed...) - Unfortunately, if you get a jobsworth MOT technician, they have to remove all obstructions from your windscreen to pass the car for its MOT... so after my car last went in for MOT, when I picked it up, I found my phone holder on the passenger seat. The gel sucker is so good and so sticky that it collects dust and grit easily and is a beggar to clean so I'd recommend (if you remember!) to remove the holder yourself before sending your car for MOT and protect the suction cup with something (which could be the little 3M sticky pad you get with it for dash-mounting but which I've never used as I stick it to my screen, not the dash...).

Good for some phones and some cars, but not all
This is a well-made product and is strong and solid. The super-sticky suction pad fixes it extremely well to smooth or textured surfaces, and the manufacturer even supplies a 3M stick pad for use on extra-difficult surfaces. When attached to the dashboard it's extremely strong and rigid. However, the jaws are difficult to use with a large phone (like my Samsung Galaxy Note 4). With my phone, the jaws were almost at their widest limit and it required quite a bit of force to open them far enough to install the phone. This could NOT be achieved as a single-handed operation. Maybe it would work better with a narrower phone - the jaw springs would not be near their limit and the force to open the jaws would be much lower, so under those circumstances maybe single-handed operation would be possible - but NOT with a large phone. The mount needs to be attached to a reasonably flat area of the dash. It's quite tall - even without a phone installed. If it's used with a large phone, the overall height of the mount and the phone means that it's difficult to find a location on the dash where the driver's view isn't obstructed to some extent. For that reason I had to return the product and can only give it two stars. If used with a smaller phone in a different car, I've no doubt that it would be an excellent phone mount. Unfortunately, the combination of the design of my car dash and the size of my phone means it wasn't suitable for me.

The perfect Mount for even your desk
Suction cups always turn out to not deliver over time. However as soon as I took this out the box, I knew I had a quality product. The suction cup is out the box super sticky. Not in the sense that it makes your finger sticky like some cheap stickers do, but sticky like it almost forms a bond with any surface it touches and doesn't want to let go. This is done with an adhesive like surface, which apparently can be washed clean of dust to restore it's original strength. However I will be using sticker backing when not using this to avoid dirt impacting performance in the long term. So it automatically "sticks" to most surfaces. But to create that rock solid grip, you need to introduce the lever which seems to create a vacuum which makes this impossible to remove. Even after lifting the lever I have trouble removing! On the silicon phone holder. It's a little tricky to prise apart, but I have no worries once the phone is in there. It puts good pressure on the phone, without any fears it will slip out, or cause any cosmetic damage to the phone itself. The ball joint and plastic nut screw to hold in place allow the phone to be orientated in many different positions, and if any part were to fail, I would believe it to be this. It's very secure when the plastic nut is secured tightly, but if not tightened enough, the ball joint will move, possibly wearing out the plastic. So in all, I have no doubts this is one of the best phone holders on the market. I don't drive often, so will be using this primarily as a phone holder on my desk. It's perfect for watching movies on your phone too without having to prop the phone against a surface or watching with it flat on a table.
