Yes it can machine wash.We suggest put it into the washing bag to wash it.

Would I be able to fit a 25oz waterbottol in the outside pockets?

Yes you can. Sticks out a bit at the top but it fits in easily. The pockets are very roomy .

Would you say the blue was an aqua colour and do actual bags look like colour on screen

Hi Monica I bought the beige one sorry but it’s exactly the same colour as it looks online if that helps. Also it’s a great light weight bag that I bought as a beach bag but also used it as a large handbag on holiday. I would have one in every colour if I could. Washes well. Worth the money.
