Smatree SmaPole Q3 Telescoping Pole, Selfie Stick with Tripod Stand for GoPro Fusion/Hero 2018/8/7/6/5/4/3/2/1/Session Cameras, DJI Osmo Action

This piece of kit is fantastic for ultraportable, lightweight, super convenient video acquisition using either a smart phone, go pro, or even a 360° camera like the Samsung gear 360. I purchased this for a video shoot in desert conditions where I needed something I could easily carry around and deploy when the right circumstances arose or I created them. It was ideal for – being small enough to fit into a compact backpack, light enough that you barely notice you’re carrying anything, and quick to setup and deconstruct. It seems well made, study and of good quality for occasional use. Although it has its limitations – it is only a few feet tall, needs a flat surface to be mounted vertically, and doesn’t indicate if the camera is mounted level with the floor or not - from a video production perspective, if you know what you’re doing, it’s ideal for simple video acquisition. I utilised this to capture footage and timelapse photography at Burning Man 2015 via a GoPro and my iPhone in a desert proof case. A year later, I shot part of a corporate video by the the edge of Blackrock Desert (adjacent to Burning Man) and with a Samsung Gear 360 camera to capture immersive photos / videos at in SF, LA and Burning Man 2016, for which it was ideal. My only gripe for 360 degree images and footage is, it’s just not as high as I would like. I’ve also used this kit for for mini-corporate videos where, I could record content for a website or a blog using my iPhone with a lavalier microphone. The great thing about it is it is small enough to have as semi-permanent kit in my rucksack for fast workflow content creation. So it is a bargain for what it is and well designed one at that!

This 'Selfie Stick' is great I brought it to stop getting those shots where your arm takes up half the photo or where your head looks massive compared to your partners. If your using your GoPro for selfies then you need a selfie stick. The wide angle lens is great for those landscape shots but can be tricky when taking photos of yourself holding the camera. (you know the standard holiday snaps) Now screw the GoPro on the end of this and hey presto no more arms or huge heads. I originally brought the - Smatree® SmaPole S3 Detachable and Extendable Floating Pole. but this wouldn't fit inside my - Smatree® Large-Size SmaCase G360 EVA Carrying and Travel Case. Now this one fits perfectly in the mesh in the lid. It also extends really long and so great for those shots in the hard to reach places. It is made out of aluminium so super light it has a rubberised grip at the bottom, includes a small tripod and a phone grip so doesn't have to be used with the GoPro. My partner uses it for her iPhone 6 and fits fine, my Samsung Galaxy Note 4 also fit at a push but I did have a Spigen Case on it. The pole is waterproof due to being aluminium. It locks by twisting it. Its really another great product from Smatree. I have found their accesories for the GoPro the best quality and most affordable. Happy Snapping

I agree with most of the other reviewers - this is a sturdy pole that seems well made. It's easy to extend and retract and is plenty long enough for selfie purposes when fully extended. I bought the Q3 version that has a mini tripod that can screw into the base of the pole to turn it into a cross between a stand and a tripod for your camera. Fully extended, this would hold the camera over a meter off the ground. However it isn't at all stable at this height and you'd want to secure it somehow. With the stick fully retracted it's much more stable (just over 40cm height) but I wouldn't want to put my DSLR on it! I have one big concern - this is to do with the head on which the gopro mount is screwed. Despite being securely fastened at the start, it can quickly unscrew when the stick is being used. On reading through the other reviews, this seems to have happened to a couple of other users and in their cases caused them to lose their gopros because the head came right off. I thought about returning the item when I discovered this fault, but decided to take things into my own hands by securing the head with superglue. It's done the trick for me but of course it means that I cannot now return the stick or change the head mount - that's fine for me. But I do urge purchasers of this product to check that the head isn't going to unscrew and come off - causing them to lose their valuable camera. I still decided to give the product 4 stars because it does have a good strength to weight ratio, is easy to use and is good value for money. With my modification it works for me but then again I'm not a skier/surfer type! I wouldn't necessarily recommend it for extreme sports users unless mine was a bad copy and the unscrewy-head thing isn't the norm.

I'm using it to support a Gear 360 camera and it works totally without any fuss what-so-ever. It is very easy to extend and retract and once put down (I use it with the supplied tripod) it stays in place as the legs are wide enough to support my set-up. It's also light to carry when not in use, which is a bonus! I have removed the wrist-strap (which was easy to do) as it was clutter in my pictures (my camera looks down as well as out) and I do not use the phone support, although that looks to be good quality and up for the job. It's simply that's not why I bought the pole. I am thinking (haven't done it yet) of buying a spike attachment Cullmann Cx660 Ground Spike with Camera Plate, 1/4 inch Adaptation Thread to use in soft ground and remove the feet altogether. This pole was a good price and is excellent value for money. Very happy to recommend it.

I rarely leave reviews unless the product really deserves it. This is one such product. It is made really well, is nice and solid and easy to attach my GoPro Hero5 Session. The extending mechanism is easy to work with and the grip is nice and grippy! The addition of a mini tripod is also very useful, not only is it good for the GoPro but it also comes with a nice and strong grip for a mobile phone which I will certainly be using when I go on holiday. All round I'm very happy with this item and would recommend it.

Seems very firm and durable. It's quality looking and easy to use. The tripod what came with it is very stable and the legs on it seem to be very firm. The rubber grip on it is made of strong compounds. No activity with your bare hands can harm the rubber or wear it off. In my opinion, it's an excellent product if you don't want to spend euros on the GoPro official stick. GoPro items are top quality, but I don't see paying 2x more than for this SmaPole for a GoPro stick. GoPro has made their brand a top notch and can put their prices accordingly but for not much of a benefit comparing to the SmaPole. GoPro is like Armani - they look and feel real nice but you never buy them, since you can get that item for 2x less from some other company and without losing any real quality.

I like this. It's not really a selfie stick, you usually get a bluetooth button with those, but it is a good, lightweight, tripod stand for indoor recording with a digital recorder. I use it a lot, especially now I need to regularly mount a digital recorder on the floor to use with Zoom, Teams, etc. It's not really a 'con' as such, but it isn't sturdy on the floor when even slightly extended. The obvious development would be to sell a separate base with each leg the length of the pole when unextended. The legs are a little short at the moment to trust.

L'asta telescopica si presenta sin dallo scatolo un prodotto di qualità: al suo interno comprende l'asta telescopica in sè, un robusto e affidabile supporto per smartphone, un supporto girevole per gopro con relativa vite e infine un cavalletto per posizionare il bastone su una superficie. 1) ASTA: L'asta è di buona qualità, leggera e robusta, tiene bene il serraggio e si può regolare a piacimento in tutto il range di lunghezza disponibile. La testa girevole finale si può regolare praticamente in qualsiasi posizione, io sono riuscito ad ottenere sempre l'angolo di ripresa desiderato, e la testa si blocca bene pure, ho usato il bastone per fare delle riprese in movimento fuori dall'auto a velocità superiori ai 90 km/h e non si è spostato nulla. 2) SUPPORTO SMARTPHONE: Il supporto è di sicuro ottimo, ed è stato uno dei motivi per cui ho preso quest'asta al posto di altre, per avere anche un'asta da selfie per cellulare. Stringe molto bene sul telefono, è ricoperto con gomma antiscivolo per far presa sul telefono e non danneggiarlo ed inoltre ha due filettature di ottima qualità che garantiscono una tenuta perfetta all'asta. 3) SUPPORTO GOPRO: Qualità discreta, mi piace il fatto che la vite tipica della gopro non blocca su un bullone che potrebbe perdersi (come nella maggior parte degli attacchi gopro), bensì direttamente in una filettatura di plastica robusta, garantendo a mio avviso una tenuta sicura. 4) CAVALLETTO: Perfetto, appena l'ho preso in mano una volta uscito dalla scatola ho avuto subito una sensazione di solidità, credo sia in acciaio, una volta aperto non ha nessun gioco e tiene perfettamente grazie pure a dei piedini antiscivolo in gomma. Consiglio questo prodotto a chiunque voglia comprare una buona asta per selfie / gopro, ne vale davvero la pena. Non l'ho mai provata in acqua, ma credo che non sia impermeabile, a mio avviso questa può essere l'unica pecca.

Perche avec triple fonction (support smartphone + fixation caméra d'action + trépied) qui semble de bonne facture et qualitatif. Après, à voir avec le temps comment va se comporter le support coulissant rétractable, généralement le point faible de ce genre de matos, toute marque confondue. Le poids total de la perche est de 175g, sans aucun accessoire monté dessus, dans la moyenne du poids d'un smartphone actuel. Avec le trépied en métal monté, on dépasse les 200g et en rajoutant le matériel monté dessus, je pense que ça peut supporter un léger vent. J'aurais aimé une housse de transport fourni dans le packaging, dommage. Pas de télécommande Bluetooth fournie pour déclencher à (courte) distance photos et vidéos. A voir si cela vous est dispensable ou non. Pour le prix (près de 30€), un fixation ventouse aurait pu être intéressante et utile à ajouter à l'ensemble.

Estable. Muy buena calidad. Fácil de extender y plegar. Se fija con un cuarto de rosca. Tiene base giratoria que permite moverlo en todas las direcciones y una traba para fijarlo en cualquier posición. Los materiales son robustos y de calidad. El pie del trípode es macizo y fuerte pero no pesa para transportarlo. La base para el movil esta acolchada par protegerlo y se ajusta a las medidas que indica en la ficha. Trae otros 2 accesorios para cámaras de fotos y deportiva. Realmente una buena compra, vale cada euro.

Hallo liebe(r) Leser*in, nach nun intensiver Begutachtung und Nutzung des Monopods von Smatree möchte ich dir meine Meinung, verpackt in einer Rezension, zur Verfügung stellen. Falls du wenig Zeit hast, empfehle ich dir meine Stichpunkt-Mini-Rezension zu lesen und wenn du doch mehr wissen möchtest, liest du einfach weiter. M I N I - R E Z E N S I O N - optimale länge - robuste und wertige Verarbeitung - biegt sich selbst mit einem Gimbal nicht (500g) - Dreibein lässt sich unten anschrauben R E Z E N S I O N Ich filme sehr gerne und benötigte ein ausziehbares Monopod, welches ich für mein Gimbal verwenden wollte. So wollte ich mit meinem Smooth 4 kleinere Drohnen-Ansichten imitieren oder auch “Durchflüge” ermöglichen. An sich ist das Teleskopstativ gut verarbeitet, nicht zu schwer und wird dazu mit ordentlich zubehör verschickt. Selbst das kleine Dreibein macht einen äußerst robusten Eindruck und wäre allein schon 10€ wert. Mit einem knapp einem halben Kilo ist das Gimbal nicht ganz leicht und daher war ich etwas skeptisch ob dieses Monopod ruhige Aufnahmen ermöglicht. Meine Skepsis ist schnell verflogen, denn wenn man die einzelnen Stangen ordentlich fest dreht wackelt hier nichts mehr. Wenn man dann unten noch das kleine Dreibein anschreibt (Ich verwende allerdings das originale von meine Smooth 4) hat man sogar noch einen stabilen Griff. Für alle die nach einem stabilen und leichten Monopod suchen, finden hier eine gute Möglichkeit mit viel Zubehör. Als einfachen Selfiestick, würde ich davon eher abraten da es da deutlich kompaktere und bessere Alternativen gibt - 5 Sterne!

The tripod base does not fold into the handle but is very sturdy when you remember to bring it. The pole works fine even in cold tempratures. Used with GoPro max in the ski slopes. Good value for money.
