Does the pole come with the ground stake

No, it doesn't come with a ground stake. Personally I would recommend you go for the 8 meter pole as my 6 meter one broke in a 9mph wind. It had a bird scaring hawk kite on it at the time. the 8 meter one in the same field with a similar kite on it has withstood 25 mph winds without any issues.

How many ground spikes will i need for the pole to fit over

You require ONE super pole stake , do not use standard pole stakes to stand this pole

Well' i put a steel rod in the ground then i put my bottom flag pole over on the steel rod .
