Loving this series. I don't want it to end!
Bought this without knowing anything about it and am loving it. Each episode (there have been a couple of double episode stories but mostly single episodes) is about an often gruesome murder but the characters of Castle and Becket and Castle's slightly whacky mum and mildly intense daughter manage to keep an upbeat atmosphere amid the carnage. Becket's two side kicks, Ryan and Espisito and the Medical Examiner Lanie are all so relatable and I am just enjoying this so much that I am sure it will be watched again some other time. I don't normally enjoy homicide stories but this is great. The wide ranging stories never cease to impress and there is no regularity to the stories at all. There is a story gently running through the whole thig and I still haven't got to the conclusion of that but I have some way to go. Excellent series.

What a brilliant series. Casting is first class. First saw on Freeview channel & got hooked (had to time the dog's walk so didn't miss the series. Not bored & infract it is one of those rare programmes that you see, hear & pick up new things especially the subtle humour. My favourite program & it has everything in it you want to be entertained.

Thrilling yet with comedy moments
Wonderful series, well-developed plots and continuity between seasons. The final season (Season 8) is a little disjointed from the other seven but is no less entertaining. Well worth watching.

Brilliant series, great value box set.
A brilliant, much loved series for any fan of Nathan Fillion, who plays a cheeky mystery novel writer who winds up helping to solve crimes alongside the dedicated Detective Beckett (played by Stana Katic).I won’t post spoilers, but I loved this series, and we have watched it over since purchasing the box set.Value for money, many hours watching and dynamic characters who you’ll love. Enjoy cameos and browncoat references popping up every so often for your enjoyment. The box set itself is split into separate mini boxes and remains sturdy on the shelf, compact enough for the amount of DVD’s you get.

BEST Cop Drama/Comedy ever.
Seven seasons of completely awesome, one season of "only" very good. Castle is the best cop comedy drama show I've EVER seen and has one of the most perfectly paced on screen romances of all time. This entire show, every episode including the "only very good" season 8 is in my all time top 3 American TV series and it's in my wife's too. Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic are brilliant and the superb supporting cast don't put a single foot wrong the entire time, something very few shows that last this long can ever say. I bought the box set on DVD from here on Amazon and even the extras are worth the watch and would have been worth buying in their own right.

Terrible packaging spoils a good series
This is not a review about the Series which is one of the better police procedural shows in the last 15 years and rates 4 stars . However, I would rate the packaging as no stars. The disks are placed in cardboard slots which are Ok for the disks on the top row but are too shallow for the disks on the bottom. As a result, ALL of these lower disks were loose when the box was opened with most of them scratched as a consequence . The first DVD I tried was unwatchable (skipping, freezing, etc.) so the boxset had to be returned. It is a pity that this is quite common when buying box sets and I usually avoid those that cut costs in this way (reading the negative reviews helps) but slipped up this time. The Amazon customer services were, as usual, excellent and the return/refund process was painless.

Castletastic
I have always loved Castle despite some lesser seasons. I knew from the start of the show that I wanted to own the dvd box, so I waited eagerly for this set to come out. The box itself isn’t big, but it neatly contains every season in small folded cases (I added pictures to clarify this). The design may look simple, but I find it very elegant. As someone else mentioned a few discs per season were out of their holders, however, this didn’t cause any damage to the discs themselves (I checked each one individually to see if I could play them). Every season has a bunch of bonus stuff (deleted scenes, bloopers, behind the scenes…) which all looks great. One thing I have to point out is that it seems like they reworked all the existing dvds into one new package and that there isn’t anything extra compared to the separate dvds, so I believe it’s not worth buying if you already own all the seasons separately (However, since I don’t own any of the separate dvds I’m not 100% sure about this). Overall, I’m really happy with this box set and I am sure other fans will enjoy this set as well.
