The best laptop I've owned to date
I've been buyng gaming laptops since before they were really ready for gaming... this is the computer that makes me think finally the technology has caught up to my desire for a quiet and cool gaming experience, and doesn't require me to remortgage my house to afford it. I've had the computer for about four months now, and I'm really pleased with its performance. It really only warms up after a long time playing a game--and that's only if the game has higher end graphics like the recently released Baldur's Gate 3. The fan is also fairly quiet. It starts up quickly and everything looks great on it. The one issue I have is with the audio--for some reason, whether it's over Bluetooth wireless headphones or the regular wired variety, I occassionally get some static noises and the sound will cut in and out. It doesn't happen super frequently, however, so I'm not sure what that's about. It's not a big enough issue to make me love this computer any less, but it's the one flaw I've noticed.

Good computer
Really nice computer if you can get it at a sale price. Have had this since July of 2023 and it’s given me no problems. It does get somewhat noisy but it’s to be expected with these kinds of laptops. You can change the mode of the computer which will also change the fan speed. Screen is solid, might not be as bright as something like an iPhone screen for reference but it’s still bright enough. The refresh rate is very smooth too. Definitely check this out if you find it at a lower price than retail.

Solid gaming laptop
I bought a refurbished one from Amazon Warehouse and it came in like-new condition with the original packaging and all. It performs pretty well, getting a minimum of 90fps at 1080p max settings in most games and around 60-80fps at 1440p max. The RT performance leaves a bit to be desired, however. It can handle Cyberpunk 2077 with RT lighting and reflections at 1080p, but only just. I get about 40-60fps without DLSS. RT in older games like Metro Exodus and Control don’t cause quite as severe a dip in performance and are fine overall, but I honestly doubt it will do well in RT titles of the future. The 8GB of VRAM in the 3070Ti is *just* enough for 1440p gaming in newer titles, but I suspect it will be a bottleneck for games coming in the next year or two. Overall though I can’t complain too much. The performance I get for the price I paid (about $1,100 for the 3070Ti 16GB RAM and 1TB SSD) is better than I’d likely get anywhere else and it’s good for all the bells and whistles of games today. Games of tomorrow, however, will likely require compromises.

Excellent aside from a major flaw in hardware
I bought this on Prime day because I was in the market for a new desktop replacement laptop for coding and gaming. As you can see with the specs, the gaming is really good and this is a powerful machine. I could do without the RGB but it's a nice touch and I think it looks pretty cool. The screen looks amazing and I like the feel of the keyboard. I like the feel of the glass touchpad. I am a Computer Science major so I'm throwing a lot of programs at once on this machine as well as running multiple servers on it. It handles everything with ease. Chrome takes up a lot of memory so I upgraded this to 32GB of RAM and now it's ready for the foreseeable future with everything I want to throw at it. Battery life is okay considering how powerful it is but I use this mostly as a desktop replacement anyways and it's always plugged in. MAJOR FLAW: Immediately upon using this laptop without it connected to my 4k monitor, I noticed that the touchpad would lag. I thought it was due to battery settings. After spending time ruling that out as a possibility, I thought it was due to firmware issues. I had the latest firmware already installed. I updated the BIOS and it would still lag. The lag would actually go away for quite a while SOMETIMES, but then it would just stay for quite a while. It was inconsistent but it was absolutely noticeable when it happened and frustrating for a laptop this expensive. I ended up researching as much as I could and found a Reddit poster that had the same issue. He cited another post where the culprit was stated to be the audio cable interfering with the touchpad. Their solution was to open the unit up and wrap the audio cable with aluminum foil or put aluminum tape under the wire. I talked to ASUS support to try to fix it but they just recommended everything I'd already done. The reason this is 4/5 stars is because this is inexcusable as it's a known hardware issue that hasn't been addressed by ASUS as far as I know, and I researched a lot and read ASUS docs on how to fix common touchpad issues. I'm not saying I opened the unit up and put some aluminum foil around the wire. I'm also not saying that it took a few hours to get everything right. I'm not sure if that would void the warranty. But, I can say that it definitely works! It's just sad that some guy on the internet had to come up with the fix when ASUS could have done this by changing the design just a little.

Laptop can only operate as a Desktop - Horrible power port placement / design
Edit: Below is a summary of the power issues with this laptop model. However, the gist of the problem is that if you unplug the laptop a certain number of times, the power connector together with extremely sensitive firmware, start to detect a loose connection and interrupt CPU processing (Kernel power error). Therefore, the laptop becomes unusable as a laptop and can only be used as a stationary desktop without slightest movement. I'm confident in saying this is an overall model issue since I've had two laptops of this type. Huge disappointment and a headache and absolutely atrocious design for the power port/connector that are unable to maintain solid connections through a very limited cycles of plugging/unplugging (less than 100). I used the laptop for about 6 months without significant problems; however, soon thereafter i started getting frequent warnings about power adapter. I returned the laptop once for repairs which was a huge pain - took at least 10 days before i got my laptop back and it was difficult to even explain the issue to customer service. Lo and behold all they did was to replace the power adapter. It's not the power adapter that's the problem is the horrible port design with the port being potentially defective - i explained this ad nauseum. Well, 2 months after i got the laptop back it's back to having the same issue because there is no room for the adapter to be a little loose. This is probably the most frustrating laptop I've ever owned. Edit: Updating to 4 stars since Asus gave me a slightly better replacement laptop. That said, it took 3 RMA tries and my warranty almost expired. Edit: Back to 2 stars. The replacement laptop is having the same problem. Absolutely horrible design for the port location by Asus. The company also gave me a huge headache with 2 unsuccessful returns and made it sound like they were doing me a favor by giving me a replacement laptop that ended up having the same power port / adapter issue. I'm very unlikely to buy Asus ever again. Edit: Back to one star, had to replace due to ongoing power issues. What a piece of crap.

Muy buena maquina
I've had other computers, including a MacBook Pro, and now I've bought this machine at a discount with free shipping to Colombia. Before this, I had the Asus TUF. I decided to make the investment thinking long-term, though being a technophile makes it a bit difficult. The computer is very nice to look at, although it's a bit heavy. Its performance is very good. I bought a 100W USB-C adapter to keep it connected and working since the original charger that comes with the machine is a real brick. I'm not much of a gamer, but those who have reviewed it say it's very good. The battery lasts well, keeping the beast running for about 4 to 5 hours, which is quite good for this configuration. What caught my attention the most when I first turned it on was the screen; the colors and the sound are very good, the best I've had in laptops. This computer is quiet, and when I game, it doesn't overheat much. It's the best and most beautiful laptop I've had. For office tasks and video editing, there's no problem. Finally, the lighting detail on the lid is a plus. Edit: I lowered the rating from 5 to 3 stars because it's unacceptable that in such a short time of use, a costly computer's numeric pad fails. Suddenly, the entire pad stopped working, then it worked again, and then it stopped working again. However, it hasn't been possible to make the numeric pad work, meaning the num lock and the numbers that appear on the pad don't function, which, by the way, was something that caught my attention and one of the reasons I decided to buy the laptop. It's frustrating that the most expensive laptop I've bought has these flaws.

Fast and Reliable
Its faster than any laptop I've had so far and has a lot of memory space. The colors are also really pretty and can customize it.

The keypad was not user freindly.
I bought this fantastic computer on Prime Day and saved a few hundred dollars. It was fast and sleek and powerful so no complaints there. However, when I started setting it up I could not get used to the number pad being in the touchpad. there didn't appear to be a "positioning" key like the number 5 having a raised dot. The concept is ok but the fact that you had to hold down a button for a few seconds to turn it on and off was a hassle. I use the number keypad a lot and that inconvenience was too much for me so I sent it back.

Great performance, screen, and quality
The device has been a pleasure to use and haven't been disappointed at all with the device worth every penny. Specs and mentioned information match the product The performance is as expected with an i9 core processor. The screen is really a joy to look at with a QHD resolution even the RGBs are fun to have. The relieving option is that it is upgradeable (RAM and Storage) so it is good to have this peace of mind. The only gripe with this laptop is fan noise could get high at load but I think it is the same as expected with a gaming laptop.
