Animal Friends of Pica Pau: Gather All 20 Colorful Amigurumi Animal Characters

I love this book. What a bargain to get all these cute patterns for $18. Amigurumi is relatively new to me. I made the frog first and now the dragon. They turned out great! The instructions are clear and easy to follow. The book offers good general instructions and good pictures, which I love. This is a beautiful book just to look at and have in your library. It's hard to find unusual little creatures to crochet and I'm bored with the same baby type animals. These are different and weird and so cute. My grandchildren went crazy picking out which one they wanted first. One last thing is that I wanted to learn something new and with this book I am learning many new things and that's what makes it so exciting and fun to work on. Be sure and get yourself a thin good quality yarn (not the bulky cheap stuff). I actually ordered mine from Lithuania off Etsy for $2 per skein! Beautiful colors and $5 shipping. Amazing and they are perfect for something like this.

I absolutely LOVE the pica pau books! These make the most gorgeous stuffed animals and the instructions are clear (the more animals you make, the easier the instructions are to understand). I want to buy the second book now!! 🥰🥰🥰 Sometimes you take a gamble buying crochet books online simply because of the quality. I can assure you that these books are of the highest quality, and produce great stuffed animals!!!! 💗

This is the third book I’ve bought from this author and I am so impressed with the quality of the books. They are all so beautiful with plenty of pictures, stitch guides, easy to follow patterns and a variety of new stitches. I’ve made quite a few of the patterns and they all turn out exactly like the picture. I love that the coloring if the animal is all in one layer (instead of making the eye patches in separate pieces and sewing them on for example). I can appreciate how much work went into all of these patterns. I highly recommend any of these PicaPau books.

I have had SO much fun learning from all her books! I love that the author uses correct terminology with stitches and project steps and the full color photos really help with making sure you’re on the right path. I teach 1st grade and I started making these and giving them away to our underprivileged students so they would have a stuffed animal.

I have really enjoyed looking at these books. I say "books" because I bought all three. The instructions are so clear and I have learned new crochet techniques. The author has done a great design job on all the animals. I have already started the fox and the lobster.

Got this book for my daughter. Super cute book with good quality content and directions. This is one of my daughter favorite books and she very easily learned to crochet all the animals in this book. They are so adorable! Would definitely recommend this book to someone who loves to crochet animals.

This book was recommended to me by a YouTube channel and now I can see why so many people enjoy these books so much. The addition of giving the patterns names and short bios makes me feel more connected to the animal I’m crocheting, this book is why I now prefer to use crochet patterns with names attached to the animals. So far, I have only been able to make George (been stash busting through my older yarn) and I’m extremely pleased with how he turned out. My only complaint, and a very minor one at that, I didn’t find the pictures very helpful. The book’s layout is very pretty, it could probably stand as a art/picture book to non-crocheters it’s that fun to flip through. However, I think that we lose some potentially useful pictures in that layout. For instance, I would’ve loved to see the back of the piece. When I made the tail, I had no idea if it was accurate since there isn’t a photo of the tail or the tail going into the shorts. This may not be an issue for the other patterns but just something I noticed with this one. And this doesn’t at all change my positive opinion with the book, it’s very well crafted and the patterns are very well written. I have her second book as well and I look forward to seeing her next book.

Love this book. Patterns comes with lots of details and any newbie crocheter can create amigurumi with detailed instructions. Happy to receive this book in India. Excellent packing and delivery on time.

Love this book. The author did a great job explaining in all the details how to make those tiny cute toys. Even an experienced crocheter (like me) can find some interesting technics. Lots of pictures, gradation from one to three stars *** for difficultly level. All in all - one of the best books on the market for now. Will start crocheting immediately. A total inspiration!

This book is detailed and on the whole easy to follow. I made a few amigurumi things before I got this book, so if you’re completely new it might help to watch some YouTube videos first. The designs are very well written. I bought one book, saw the quality of it and bought her other two. I’ve made four animals from across the books as gifts and very pleased with the results.
