Brilliant item for drying clothes. Easy to install, easy to use and packs away very quickly. Although half of the drying line length than the drier you put in the lawn, it suits our needs perfectly.

As has been stated by other reviewers, this item is moderately fragile. The alloy is quite thin, and does not instill confidence in it's tensile strength. However, that being said, if this is used with care it works just fine. It took me about 20 minutes to install it on the wall, including finding an 8mm drill bit and it feels quite solid once mounted. There are four rubber gromits that fit on the back of this to cushion it against the wall, and I suppose to give it some cushioning from vibration in the wind. This also has the benefit of reducing vibration noise against the wall. The screws are adequate and fit the unit well enough with the supplied washers. You do need to use a reasonable amount of strength to pull this from the wall until the catch clicks into place, and of course as has been mentioned here - to lift it away from the wall to disengage the catch before folding it away. It is best to do this with a bit of caution, simply because the frame is not very solid, so is fairly easy to bend or buckle. There is no template for mounting this, which I think is something the company should supply. It's all well and good giving us the measurements on the sheet in small print with a small diagram of the mounting plate. I mean, how much extra cost is it to put in a paper template? It would save time and trouble for the customer. For myself I made my own template from the back place, rather than dismantling the thing or fiddling with the assembled unit to mark the holes. There is no fixed height to mount this unit, it is advised to mount it at a comfortable height, so the top of the mounting plate is slightly above the head of the person using it. When you see how it works, this makes a lot of sense. Once I showed my wife how this unit works, and how to release the catch again, she has been using this comfortably. We're both getting a lot of use out of this as the main rotary dryer is out the back of the property in the middle of the grass, this one is mounted closer to the back door at the end of the patio. It's easier to get to when the weather is questionable, and as it folds away neatly it doesn't interfere when we are sitting out there or entertaining. Once this is pulled out and locked, it is quite large and will take a fair amount of washing. For us this means that the larger household items can go on the bigger rotary dryer, and smalls, underoos, t-shirts and other washing can go on this thing. It does mean we get more washing done in a day which is a bonus in some ways and a bane in others (more ironing for instance...) This answered a need for us, and allows us to hang washing out on days when the weather is less than perfect, and dash out to grab it quick if there's rain, without a long sprint down the garden and a wet trudge back carrying a heavy load. I suspect that because of it's convenience it is going to get more use than the larger rotary dryer. Great idea, well made and finished. Some care needs to be taken when fitting and using this item because of the way it is constructed, but overall this is a very nice unit that has made our lives that little bit easier. As it folds away neatly into it's own housing - either the alloy box or the provided rain cover which clips to the sides and sits tight on the top cap and bottom of the legs, it is unobtrusive and tidies away neatly.

We only have a small bit of land so ideal for what we needed. Easy to put up too. Fits so much washing aswell!

This is brilliant and very easy to install. Comes with very easy instructions and all fittings for a brick wall, including wall plugs. Will need an 8mm masonry drill bit and use the spacing template, so simple. I fit it on my own. Came with all weather cover which clips on and look great on your wall. Everybody impressed who has seen it and asked me where I got it from. Really impressed.

This is my second, they are brilliant and can be hidden away on a wall when not in use.

We got this based on other reviews on here that Brabantia make sturdy, reliable items. This is definitely one of them. Folds out easy, has plenty of space, the clothes dry easily and it folds away into a cover for winter/not in use. Doesn't take up a lot of space in the garden as it is fit to a wall! Great! Only reason I've given 4 stars for this was the instructions that came with it - didn't say how to fold it up! Spent ages pressing what looked like buttons etc. until we looked at a YouTube video which shows the user pulling the front up and pushing back to the wall at the same time. Wasn't on instructions.

This washing line is a game changer. Easy to install and plenty of line space. Also folds away easily and takes no effort. When not in use takes up no space in garden and looks great stored on wall.

Es un tendedero fantástico. Bien hecho y con la garantía de la marca. He tenido uno como este de otra marca de los de pie (no plegable a pared) y nada que ver con este, que se coloca a pared y no ocupa nada de sitio una vez guardado. Parece que las cuerdas apenas se destensan al tender, aunque imagino que con el uso lo haran al final. Viene con una bolsita para cuando se cierra guardarlo y que no se manche ni se estropee tanto, y me parece suficiente. Si no fuera tan cara la otra caja de guardarlo, de seguro la hubiera comprado. Aunque ya he visto que esta bolsita aguanta el viento de mi ciudad y del sitio donde lo he puesto y puedo asegurar que sopla fuerte dia si, dia también. El tendedero por supuesto no se mueve aunque la ropa ya es otra cosa. Cabe toda la ropa para un par de lavadoras de 6 kg. Imagino que las piezas de plastico con el tiempo cascarán, pero si no me equivoco lei que dan garantía de por 5 años. Hay un video en youtube por si quereis ver como abre y cierra. Es lo que me hizo decidirme por lo que les ha funcionado la publicidad, aunque he de decir que primero cotillee en amazon.uk las opiniones porque en este no había ninguna. Edito: el tendedero va a hacer diez años y sigue impecable a excepción de las cuerdas que empiezan a deteriorarse aunque venden repuestos y algún día las tendré que cambiar. Aunque estoy segura de que aún van a aguantar bastante.

Stendibiancheria geniale, si possono stendere quantità elevate di biancheria, nel mio caso utilissimo per le lenzuola, in quanto abitando al piano terra non è possibile usare uno stendino normale. Quando non si utilizza, da chiuso, ha un ingombro veramente minimo, permette quindi di sfruttare al meglio qualsiasi spazio. Ciliegina sulla torta: assistenza al TOP, io avevo acquistato questo stendibiancheria su amazon warehouse (usato come nuovo), ma mi è arrivato rotto. Amazon non poteva sostituire il prodotto, ma solo rimborsarmi, purtroppo avendo bisogno dello stendibiancheria non era la soluzione giusta per me. Mi sono rivolto all'assistenza Brabantia che nonostante il periodo critico in cui ci troviamo in questo momento (covi-19) nel giro di pochi giorni mi ha fatto ricevere uno stendibiancheria nuovo direttamente a casa.

This product is one of those rare purchases that has improved the quality of workaday life. I enjoy the satisfaction in making a common task easier. This clothesline (I'm waxing about a clothesline?!) works well, it's solidly engineered for the task. It easily deploys and folds away so doesn't clutter the landscape, even a landscape where there's room to stretch. This dryer seems to handle all the laundry I throw at it. I can fit 3 loads, if some of the stuff is on hangers. That includes sheets. I live in a dry climate so I rarely have to leave a lot of wet laundry hanging, it dries so quickly. But I can toss a comforter, small area rug on it, and I've used it as a basket to hold bed pillows that need airing out and some sunshine. It's a terrific item, and paid for itself quickly in reduced machine dryer use. It's very sturdy and good for large households with a lot of laundry. At the same time, totally compact. If I have any criticism, it's that the Cordura cover is not as user-friendly as the dryer is. I like to leave all my clothespins on the dryer, and when folded, the cover doesn't fit as well with all the clothespins, and in any scenario it's difficult to snap on. I'd appreciate an improved cover. There is a metal cover available in the EU, I think. But it would probably not fit over my clothes pins. Nonetheless, when company is coming over, I can cover it well enough. Do yourself a favor and buy it. * Update: Three years later, my husband and I are still delighted with the functionality of this dryer. It is almost always deployed, and is only folded up when company comes over. We have unrelenting UV eleven months of the year or more. This exposure is unmerciful on various plastics, rubbers, fabrics, paints, and hard goods like chairs. But this folding clothesline is a freaking champ. Very hardy in the sun, wind, rain. No parts that rot or rust or mold. I'm very pleased. ** Second update 2021, almost to the day, 7 years after purchase: Something broke. It was the little part that holds the rig snapped open. Brabantia REPLACED THE ENTIRE DRYER, even though we only requested a part. What a wonderful company. They have my full appreciation and loyalty. (I bought their ironing board, which is also super-excellent.) As it happened, the line the clothes hang on was also in need of replacement. I bought some line, but found upon closer inspection that buying the replacement line from Brabantia would have been better, they include the little clips, it's not a simple matter of restringing with any line. Brabantia included the hard protective dryer cover, which is quite handsome, but will indeed not close with my clothespins on the line, so I remove them to properly stow the dryer. But wow, it looks nice, and functions so much better than the soft cover. I wish all the tools I use to complete daily tasks were as satisfying and functional. Kudos to a company that treats customers right--a rare attribute in today's marketplace.

L'installation demande un peu de précision avec la perceuse, mais une fois fixé, ce séchoir mural change vraiment la vie sur une terrasse encombrée. J'adore le fait qu'il se fasse totalement oublier contre le mur quand je ne m'en sers pas, libérant tout l'espace au sol contrairement aux pieds classiques qui traînent toujours. Le déploiement est fluide et se fait vraiment d'une seule main, ce qui est très pratique quand on a déjà une panière à porter. Les cordes extérieures sont suffisamment longues pour mes grands draps et j'arrive à y caser deux tournées de linge sans problème. La housse incluse est un vrai plus pour éviter que les fils ne noircissent avec la pluie ou la pollution, m'évitant la corvée de nettoyage avant d'étendre. Le seul point de vigilance est la hauteur de fixation qui est définitive, il faut donc bien viser juste du premier coup car on ne peut plus l'ajuster ensuite pour gagner en confort. C'est du matériel solide qui ne bouge pas au vent.
