Added to paint for great textured effect
Years ago I added normal sand to wall paint and the look was great. However I read there could be interferences with paint composition using normal sand from the beach or desert, so I tried this out when I next decorated my room, which a few weeks ago now. Amazing. Thought the size of the granules might not be large enough. I was happily proven wrong. Pretty much perfect for my aesthetic. With a little trial and error, the look I wanted required at least 300g sand to 1000mL paint (just say one third sand to paint). 2 coats of paint were needed. I used Craig & Rose paint and that worked well. I like the fact the sand is white, which complemented the paint I used for the walls. I used a natural bristled brush combined with the dab technique. Employing the normal brush stroke method resulted in significantly bare areas devoid of sand texture. For a 6m2 room I used almost 2.5-3kg sand. When I redecorate another room in this fashion I will certainly buy more of this sand. My mother has seen the effect and now wants it for one of her rooms.

Good quality
It is what it is. It looks good and is white so it does what I need. Price is ok but not exactly cheap hence the 4 stars

Good Sand Keeps Its Colour
Although I soaked this before adding to my tank, it was very clean. Buy plenty at least two bags for one average size tank. When cleaning out the tank, a small amount will get sucked up, when emptying the container, the sand will stay behind, just keep rinsing that until most of the debris has gone. Spoon the sand out into a small dish and let it dry for a couple of days. This can then be put back into the tank, but put it in the tank slowly before tipping out of the dish as it will go all over the plants. Read up on the internet about cleaning sand substrate if your used to gravel.

Wedding decor
I got two bags of these for our wedding decor for the vases to keep flowers in place. It’s a very fine sand and worked really well for what I got it for. One of the bags though was split when it arrived and it went everywhere
