UPDATED REVIEW! Last update, I promise. After reading some other reviews/tips I discovered a little magnet inside the motor that was clogged. I had never taken the motor apart to that point. Once thoroughly cleaned the fountain started right back up. Additionally, I emailed customer service and got a same day response. If I had not fixed the pump they were going to send a new one. Having said all this, I'm going back to my original 5 star review. I've had this fountain just over four months. Yes, my cats love it, but it's already stopped working. I'm so disappointed. I clean it thoroughly once a week when I refill it. Change the filter and everything. Today I went to clean it and when I plugged it back in it won't turn back on. I've taken it back apart, etc. Will not restart. Terrible that something this pricey ($60 I believe) works for only 4 months. The stainless and ease of cleaning is really nice, but the durability is unacceptable. I have three cats. They LOVE this fountain. They don't touch their water bowls anymore. It's super easy to set up and clean. I have to refill it at least once a week so that's when I clean it out good. My water is filtered so I only change the white filter once a month, but the black filter catches hair so I clean that each time I fill it. Great product!

My two cats just love this fountain. One of our cats wasn't drinking enough, so the vet recommended a fountain like this. I had purchased one before the Rellaty fountain but it was very hard to clean. The Reality fountain is quiet, so easy to clean, and is very sleek and clean looking, too. Cleaning it each week takes me only about 10 minutes - much quicker than the first fountain. I will always buy the Reality fountain.

This stainless steel fountain was so easy to assemble — had it up and running in under 10 minutes. The carbon filter keeps the water tasting fresh and clean, and the gentle continuous stream gets my cats drinking way more than they ever did from a bowl. The pump is whisper-quiet, so it runs 24/7 without bothering anyone. Cleanup is simple, everything comes apart easily, and the stainless steel looks brand new even after months of use — no staining or sliminess like plastic fountains. Honestly one of the best things I’ve bought for my cats. Highly recommend!

My cats liked the one of this that I got that I ended up getting a second one. I liked that it came with extra filters (although the second one I got shorted me one filter). It holds a lot of water that works well for my multiple cats to the point it can last multiple days before it's time for me to refill it. It's quiet until the water level gets low, it's easy to clean, and does very well at filtering out hair and debris.

This water dish is really nicely constructed... the water level indicator helps to see how much is left... cleaning the dish and taking apart the pump is easy enough for my elderly mother to do as she has a similar water dish with the same pump and filters... it is quiet and functions effortlessly... nice cord length ... easy to assembly... the design js great dor cats and smaller dogs... my 2 dogs are 60 and 120 pounds respectively and the dish is a bit too shallow for them... the shallowness of the dish for water retention is my only complaint and doesn't work for my dogs very well and I had to put a pet water dish mat down ... I wish this was at least a 3 gallon dish as my dogs go through the water fast and I have to fill it multiple times a day compared to the fountain they have had for a year... customer service is amazing and they respond and will make things right as my mom had a pump go out and they replaced it fast and easy... I have used dishes with this pump design for cats I had in The past and the pumps last a long time and are super inexpensive if you do have to purchase one... it wouldn't be a bad idea to have one on hand in the rare event it goes put since u can't just goto the store and grab another one especially for picky pets that won't drink out of anything nut their fountain... a great dish but just doesn't work for my dogs as it is shallow and I have to refill multiple times a day... it would probably work better for one dog but the way dogs drink might be an issue to some as they are pull the water back in their mouths compared to cats with sandpaper tounges... this is amazing for cats and smaller dogs... I wish it would work for my dogs better like the fountain they have had for a while... I would make the dish alot shallower and the water capacity alot bigger for large dogs... your dogs could have better success but mine make a mess with their size and big tounges... this is perfect for cats and smaller dogs...

After careful consideration of all other fountains on the market, I decided to purchase one of these for my cats. I've had it for almost 6 months and have purchased another one in that period (I have quite a few cats). I have been very impressed with this fountain. My cats love it, they drink from it often and usually directly from the running spout. Apart from a motor break down, which was due to the little magnetic spindle inside the motor housing failing to spin, I've had no issues with either fountain. The little spindle (which you should pull out in order to clean inside the motor with the tiny supplied brush and which I had been doing each week) had stopped spinning because it had a build up of limescale that I did not notice (I have very hard well water). Once I removed it and descaled it, it went back in smoothly and the motor ran fine again. I cannot fault the fountain for this as it should be part of the regular cleaning routine if you have hard water. I had emailed the seller for assistance and they were the ones that suggested I pull that spindle out and clean inside, as this is apparently the main cause for the motor not working. It was at that point I noticed how much limescale was on it. I believe it simply built up to a point where it no longer had enough space around it to spin freely. Having had this fountain for some months now, I would recommend it without reservation, but would stress that regular and thorough cleaning is essential for the smooth running and longevity of the fountain and for the health of your cats. If you have hard water, I would suggest soaking all the parts in distilled white vinegar before cleaning in warm soapy water and rinsing. This includes the little magnetic spindle. I basically fill one empty water vessel with vinegar, then use it to soak everything else. I do this every two weeks at minimum. Great product at a good price and good customer service!

The vet told us that one of our cats needed hydration. We have 2 cats And there are 3 bowls in Our home, We change them twice a day. I didn't know what else to do, the I couldn't figure out how to get her to drink mormor y at the pet.food store suggested trying cat food made with Pumpkin. That was supposed to I couldn't figure out how to get i I couldn't figure out how to get her to drink more. The lady at the pet food store told me to feed her pumpkin . That was supposed to provide mtr hydration, but neither of our cats would eat it. My sister in law fosters several cats. She swears by this fountain, we love it and the girls do too. Highlander has a very big head and her whiskers are very long, so she avoided the water bowls, But this fountain solves that problem Easily. Penny or other cat seems to drink more too the fountain is so well made and So easy to put together and clean. I love the bubbling noise it's very quiet but it's it's kind of nice. They both drink a lot more water and And I can see why And I can see why because everyone would like fresh moving water instead of old.boring bowl water.that only Got changed twice a day It comes with everything you need and there are very clear instructions For cleaning it and putting it back together. I had to call Relaty About an issue with the filter the young lady that I spoke.to ( Emily) Responded to my email right away she got the whole problem straightened out Right away. Professional Efficient And so very nice. I can't recommend this enough. It's a great value for the money And it has made a big difference in our young ladies' We don't know how we did without itAnd I'm sure that anyone who buys it will be very happy with it ters Ump

I waited nearly 2 years to see how this fountain would perform before writing this review. For the most part, it has done well. I like the capacity… and it’s very quiet — However, despite the mostly stainless steel material, there are a few plastic parts (where the fountain neck connects) and the fountain motor which are problematic. The plastic securing the fountain neck has slowly turned black (yes, I’ve tried cleaning it) and the plastic in the motor unit traps fungal growth in parts that cannot be opened and cannot be reached with any small brushes. I suppose I could soak it for a while — but it’s still a hassle to deal with that. I just want to clean it and be done. Recently, the motor has begun to periodically fail… so I’ll likely be shopping for another water fountain. Depending on one’s budget, a fountain that develops problems in under 2 years may or may not be big deal, but I wish this one would have lasted longer.

My cats love this fountain. The large tank provides them cool fresh water for several days, but the best part of this fountain is the customer service. I clean the the bowl, check the filter and clean the pump every time that I refill. This last time, the pump would not restart. I contacted the company and a lovely person promptly responded. She suggested that I clean the pump. When I told her that I already did this, she shipped me a new pump with a two year warranty. They have the best customer service for a good product.
