I absolutely LOVE this hammer! It feels great in my hand and is lightweight enough to where my 8 year old can use it too. For a small hammer, this is top quality! Definitely worth buying! I also love the assortment of nails (those came in really handy putting up a painting! I got frame hooks but they wouldnt hold but these nails did the job perfectly!)

I typically don't buy things online (but my free Prime trial was about to expire) and am even less likely to write a review, but this one I felt compelled to. After receiving this hammer set I was delighted to find a hand written note thanking me for my purchase, a print out that ensures a LIFETIME GUARANTEE, and a lil Mr. Pen mustache logo sticker. I know these may seem like small gestures, but I was not expecting this from an Amazon seller. This lead me to look up the company Mr. Pen, to find that they were started by teachers across the US who have had experience teaching in at risk schools and know the importance of quality and affordable supplies. Very sweet if true, either way, I love supporting a smaller business who takes the time adding small touches like a hand written note for something as benign as a hammer and nails set. I bought this set for hanging picture frames, as I thought the price was good for the convenience of receiving both hammer and hanging nails in one purchase. Good little hammer, some sloppy glue spots around the the edges from when it was constructed, but as it feel sturdy and also is just a hammer, I really don't mind some aesthetic defects. I agree with a previous review that the lil magnet holder to help guide the nails isn't functional for the nails provided, as the nails are too short, however, it's good to know that this function is there for bigger projects. All in all, this find really exceeded expectations.

We have plenty of hammers for all sorts of applications but I was drawn to this one because it's SHORT and has a nail hanger and I need something compact to better fit in the small, ladder-friendly kit I use for hanging art in my storefront. Not my favorite task especially when I drop nails. I prefer wood handles, and love my "vintage" tools best, but this one is lightweight, comfortable to grip, and unlikely to slip. I'm told it's unlikely to work with longer nails (for heavy art--which I need help with anyways) and other random nails, but the variety provided will last me a long time.
