I ordered the pack that included both the 2" and 2.4" so I wouldn't have to worry about size. They work great to keep flies and dust out of your wine once it's had enough air. I doubt they are air tight, but they fairly close to it in my particular decanter with a round lip. They had a bit of a odor when I first opened the package--I rinsed them with warm water and a few hours later it was gone. And--they're just cute and fun. The picture is with the RIEDEL Cabernet Decanter and the 2.4"--the 2" also works fine, it goes down into the neck but not so far as to be hard to get out.

Works as advertised. Does what it is supposed to do. Still... I am reviewing a ball made of cork. What do you want from me? Actually, works pretty well to keep the wine in my decanter fresher for a couple of days if I am not finishing a bottle all in one day. So, again, it is a ball made of cork.
