I bought size M. my Size is 10 - 12 I would say item fits perfectly well.

Q: What size is recommended for a size 22 please?

I would recommend going for at least 2 sizes bigger, as they are very tight fitting. I am for example 14-16 and bought the x large. They are good quality though. Hope this helps.

Q: What denier are these tights and are they ladder resistant

These are not tight there stomach control pants , I wore at Christmas part and were very comfortable would recommend.

Q: Do you get the horrible bulge over the top of the belly as with other control underwear

No it actually flattens the belly,however,I think you get a roll at the side,between the waist band and your bra.I ordered a small (10) It could have been a bit smaller ,for a more sculptured look.
