Mijello Fusion18 - Artists Watercolour Palette MWP-3018

Amazon seem to have classified this under toys, something this excellent watercolour palette definitely is not! As a longstanding watercolour artist I have tried many palettes but this one is definitely the best I have owned. It's very smart and elegant design is matched by the quality of the materials used in it's manufacture. It is beautifully slim but the individual pans have enough capacity to hold a good amount of tube colour. And of course, with it's snugly fitting lid, I find that the tube colour stays damp for much longer than in a conventional palette. The lift-out tray is a master-stroke, effectively doubling the amount of space for mixing colour, and also making it easy to wash the palette. I wish I had discovered this palette some years ago so I could have benefited from it for much longer. I would without doubt recommend this to any watercolour artist.

Have now filled it with my chosen colour selections. Love this valuable piece of kit. The size is great for what I need, it's lightweight and feels like real quality stuff. The removable tray is extremely useful and the whole things is a breeze to clean. As well. it's airtight and doesn't leak. So much to love and I got it at a bargain price! Definitely worth having!

Great palette for Watercolours. The compartments are adequate in size and spacing. Each one is "rounded" off making it very easy to fill your brush with paint and for cleaning. This aspect is also a massive plus because sable brushes are not damaged by rough edges. The mixing area in the lid is also made of clear plastic which can greatly improve your colour mixing. This is because the light hits your wash, bounces through and is reflected back from the white plastic of the lid, working in a similar way to when the wash is added to the paper. The clear plastic tray is also removable which is great for increasing your mixing space (as you can use the lid) and ideal for cleaning. The only negative is that the mixing area (by the compartments) is made of white plastic and paints containing high staining properties will leave stains. To avoid this add lots of water to the washes, lifting the paint from the surface and then use a tissue to lift out.

this costs £18 most places so a bargain. A great sturdy travelling palette in a studio size. I like to take a lot of colours about with me and this is perfect x

It is easy to use, easy to clean. I have 2 of these pallets.and they are my favourite for keeping specific colour pallets for my watercolours.

Wrong coliur. Fuschia arrived, not blue (as item description said). Lid wasn't attached! Slight problem getting it into place, but eventually succeeded. Supposed to be leakproof, which would sugggest that it has a positive, secure latch mechanism to keep it closed. It doesn't. The actual latch cannot stay closed by itself. Impossible. So I resorted to supplementing it with a couple of elastic bands. Using the elastic bands, I tested how leakproof the palette is by putting water into the wells and closing it, then shaking and holding upside down, sideways etc. It seems to be leakproof, but only with the elastic bands fitted, otherwise there would be water (or paint) all over the place. Genreally, not as good as I hoped but, using my trusty elastic bands, it may serve my purpose. And, by the way, I cant be bothered to send it back just to change the colour. Life is too short.

Very nice watercolour palette with a lid that seals, plenty of wells and a removable palette. Easy to clean, watercolour washes sit nicely in the wells and colours appear true. Not too big for an amateur artist, but probably a bit small if you do a lot of work. I find it a nice piece of kit.

Have several of these now, for different colour palettes, and they don't leak (although I don't leave them super wet and absorb any puddles with a tissue before closing). I really like them - good size for travelling, with plenty of palette space for mixing.

Very nice and useful palette. The size of Wales is also appropriate. The company says that this is a fusion palette. But its beading like a cheap plastic palette. overall its a good palette.

Really good seal and generous space for a travel palette. The surface beads water so I bring a small mixing palette- although the palette space for mixing is adequate for travel purposes. The seal is great- keeps my D Smith or Winsor-Newton paints soft and easy to rehydrate. Very lightweight.

This is my second paint palette. While getting lots of ceramic palettes are fun, this pallet is a go to as my regular paint holder.

The palette is made of comfortable plastic material. It really keeps your paints fresh to the next day! Easy to clean! Highly recommended!
