Johnstone's Wood & Metal Satin Paint in Brilliant White is easy to use and gives a clean, smart finish on wood and metal. It goes on smoothly with a non-drip formula, which makes painting less messy, especially on doors and radiators. It dries quickly, usually touch dry in under two hours, which helps finish jobs faster. The low odour is good for indoor use, and cleanup with water is simple. At £10, it feels like decent value for a self-undercoating paint that saves an extra primer step.

I used this to paint my staircase before getting a runner fitted. The runner ended up being delayed for a few weeks, so I had to use the stairs fully bare during that time, and the paint held up really well. No chips or scuffs, even with daily use. It only needed two coats for full coverage, and the white is nice and bright. The paint went on smoothly, didn’t drip, and dried quickly which made the whole job a lot easier. It’s also low odour which I really appreciated, especially using it indoors. Even after a few weeks of heavy use, it still looked fresh and was easy to clean. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a tough but easy-to-use paint for wood or metal.

Outstanding! Very fast drying, amazing coverage on very dark wood, the only preparation I done was wipe down with white spirit beforehand then applied this. Took two coats! Best paint!

Brilliant pure bright white gloss. Applied smoothly and dried flawless. Not a very strong odor which is good and coverage is great. Did need 2 coats in darker places but great

To get a nice even finish on internal doors that had been stripped took 2 coats of Johnsons undercoat and 4 coats of the white satin paint. Six coats of paint! To be honest I wish I'd bought Dulux as using this made the job a lot longer than it should've been. The finish is OK but the paint is thin, would not buy again.

Mi è piaciuto molto, diluibile con l’acqua, l’ho usato per ripitturare dei mobili in legno e funziona bene, non me ne intendo di vernici però secondo me ha una buona copertura e asciugatura

Plus, it will be easily removed if you take out the painting tape
