Just received and I can't remove the cutter from the machine. It is stuck fast. Having used other machines this should not be difficult.

exactly the same for me. Just arrived and out of the box we really struggled to get the ravioli attachment off. It was stuck fast. Eventually managed to get it off but it's obvious that the slots that the attachments fit into are skewed. Tried the spaghetti attachment but didn't push it down fully. It sit's on but again clear that it's being held at an angle so if fixed on properly it will be very difficult to get it off. Did you return yours?

can the motor be added later to this model of atlas pasta maker?

I believe it’s for the spaghetti so you can have two different sizes if you wish. What I can say is it’s a very well put together and made machine hope this helps.
