I bought these colouring pencils because I recently got some nice adult colouring books by Millie Marotta and Johanna Basford. I wanted some higher quality pencils that gave vibrant colour without having to press too hard and leaving pressure marks like my cheaper ones were doing.I was not disappointed!First of all they arrived the very next day which was a nice surprise.The pencils came in perfect condition and were nice and smooth to hold. I immediately tried them out in my colouring book and was delighted by how buttery smooth it felt on the paper. I didn't have to apply much pressure at all to get a nice vibrant colour. An even deeper colour can be achieved simply by colouring lightly back over what has already been done. They also blend beautifully as you can see in my example.I got the 72 pack and was spoilt for choice with the number of different shades there were of each colour.I think I will be getting a canvas pencil holder for them in the future as I can't see it being very practical constantly taking them out and putting them back in the box (which looks lovely but probably isn't strong enough to last over a long period of time).These pencils were fantastic value for money and I would buy them again if I needed to.

I have been meaning to try out these adult colouring books for a while now and shortly after Christmas decided to get a harry potter themed ones and a good set of pencils to go with them. These seemed like the best set for a very good price so I gave them a go. The order came very well packaged and protected by the seller with none of the pencils (or even the lead) broken, which was a surprise, I was expecting the leads to be broken off at least during postage. I haven't done too much of this colouring book but have found the pencils to be good to use, the colour goes down evenly and so far the leads have not been breaking. I'm not exactly an expert on this sort of thing because this is the first that I have made this kind of purchase or tried this adult colouring thing out for size but I have been Impressed with the quality and price of these pencils. They are pretty much I was expecting when I ordered. You get a great range of colours, including some that I was not really expecting to be in there like skin tones, silvers, golds and more greys than I thought you could get in a colouring pencil. I have knocked this down from 5 stars to 4 for one simple reason. Although the pencils are great and there is a great range of colours included in the pack, it is missing maybe some kind of guide as to what the colours are. This may sound like a silly complaint but for those of us who are colour blind, a note of the colours would be handy. Each Pencil has a number printed at the end, so even a sheet of paper with the number and the name of the colour included or printed on the box would be an improvement and prevent any more instances of clear purple skies or juicy brown apples.

Definitely not professional quality you have to use a lot of pressure to get the bright colors they claim they have and they do not layer well when you try to shade you get an uneven build up of pigment, a lot of white shows through from the paper. I would say Crayola colored pencils are far better than these they are smoother with a more even coverage with more vibrant colors and cheaper. Looking for something a bit better for your adult coloring books cost you money.

I bought these pencils based on the reviews and I am so glad that I did! They are lovely pencils that blend easily. I'm currently testing these on a page in Johanna Basford's Secret Garden book. As you can see, the colour payoff is decent and the colours are very pretty. The pencils sharpen well too. I'm very happy with these pencils and 100% recommend them.Edit (13/03/17) - Knocked off two stars because after a few weeks of completing a page in the Secret Garden, I noticed the colours on the page have faded?! No idea why or how but I ended up going over them with prismacolor pencils. Would recommend for beginners but I won't be using these again in my colouring books. Will pass these onto my sister.

My partner recently took up "adult colouring."After buying a couple of colouring books and a cheap set of pencils, it immediately became clear that the cheap pencils were too hard and soon made holes in the paper.After seeing the Taotree Marco Polo pencils on Amazon and reading the number of positive reviews, we ordered a set of 72.Brilliant set of assorted pencils in a fantastic range of colours.They arrived promptly as does everything from Amazon and they were put to use straight away.They have been used so much that it wont be too long before we are ordering some more.We also ordered the large canvas wrap storage case.Really good quality and well worth buying.A Tip!The pencils are all numbered. So, it pays to undo the cardboard box carefully. They are mainly already in order. If like me you like things to be in order, it saves a lot of time when putting them in the correct sequence into the canvas case!

The colour is fine, but they break really easy,you will go through them in no time,wouldn’t bother again

I'm a beginner and was looking for pencils that were easy to use with a great pigment for use on my journaling Bible that has really thin pages. I wanted bright colour without having to worry about ripping the pages. These are brilliant with the lightest of touch You get great sharp colour there is a great range of colours as well. Though some colours may look similar they are all different providing a great blending range and a number of options. If you are sick of having to push down to get good colour I'd totally recommend these pencils especially as They are cheaper than other pencils which Look To have around the same result. One tip was broken but that's transit for you and im sure it will sharpen fine. I ordered with prime at 6pm on Friday and had them by 10am on the Saturday. Speedy service and perfect product totally recommend.
