Exactly what I wanted for the table top, the mechanism is very well made and quality finishing. What else can I say? Grinds pepper well. Previous one being used daily in the kitchen has been going strong for 2 years and still going.

Forget the rest, this is the real thing.
We inherited a very old Peugeot pepper mill from my mother-in-law. It's a little smaller than this one and without doubt the best mill either of us have ever encountered. (And we've had a LOT of pepper mills before we inherited this one...) Wanted another for camping and didn't want to risk losing the antique one. Pleased to report that this is a worthy substitute.

Didn’t match the image
This pepper mill arrived loose in a box, in pieces, with peppercorns rolling around - not really what I’d expect for a pepper mill costing this much. Sent it back because it doesn’t have the same screw top as shown in the image and therefore doesn’t match the other one I have - the screw top for the one that arrived is a circular shape rather than the classic shape in the image.

Expensive but worth it!
Have been meaning to buy this item for ages. It grates (is that the correct word for a pepper mill?) really well and smoothly - you can vary the texture from really fine to quite course. It's expensive but worth the money.

Sieht schön aus, kleiner Einschluss im Acryl oben, das ist erst aufgefallen als der Pfeffer schon drinnen war. Funktioniert gut, aber ist um ehrlich zu sein nicht außergewöhnlich.

These have a reputation of being the best pepper mill on the market for a reason. We have a full sized one that we bought about 25 years ago that still works flawlessly. We wanted a smaller one for white peppercorns (the large one has black peppercorns). We’ve used this for about 6 months and I have to say this meets my very very high expectations. Easy to use and adjust and fill and just works flawlessly. Yeah they are more expensive than other brands but there is a reason.
