Got 2 of these to stick photos in. Cover lovely, but I did have to send one back and replace as spine slightly crushed. No problem there, they just sent out straight away replacement. Black paper is not really thick, but I didn't mind as photos made them more solid. Crepe paper between absolutely lovely. I used sticking tabs which adhered well and I could actually get them off if I hadn't got photos straight enough with no damage to paper. Bought white pens to write on black paper, did a few test runs under photo placement to make sure they could be used. They were ok and no smudging. I could fit 4 photos of each paper - 2 portrait, 2 landscape. I had to cut photos if wanted all landscape on a page, but that was half the fun, filling the scrapbook, working out where to place photos and writing. One book is now full. It looks spectacular. Front page where you can slot in a photo is a bit naff and fiddly (thin plastic, not glass. I may update and make this better. However, for the price I love them. They look very classy.... Will buy more...

Good quality album. Requires photo corners or some other way to stick the photos, as it's not adhesive (which is fine, that's what I wanted, but it's important to know). An important point is that to get to the maximum capacity, you have to fit 4 photos per page and that requires them to be 2 portrait, and 2 landscape, in a very specific configuration. If you want to keep the chronological sequence this will rarely happen, so you can expect perhaps 50-75% "fill rate" depending on how strict you are with keeping the sequence within one page. The interstitial sheets can get crumpled if not careful, but no big deal. Overall quite a good product, got a couple more in different colors for future photos.

Relive the holiday in this photo album

As in Speckled Hen's review I was after an album with black pages to display black and white photos (from the early 1900's). An inherited album had deteriorated badly and I wanted something to display the photographs sympathetically with traditional corner mounts and personalised handwritten captions. It was a struggle to find a suitable one which met the criteria. Black pages were a must and not too easy to find amongst all the self adhesive or white options. A large number of pages also. Most of the photos were printed as postcards and an average of three per page plus captions seemed like a reasonable aim. I would have preferred a slightly larger sized album to achieve this without overcrowding the pages but again there aren't too many options out there without paying over the odds so this was a compromise. For the price it's pretty good value and seems fairly well constructed. Wasn't sure about the window on the front at first but have customised it with the original owners photo plus caption and it works well. Each page has a narrow strip of card running down the inside edge (black to match) which helps with the way the album works open and closed. The cover is fairly stout and a pleasant burgundy colour (I wanted something sober and not garish looking) and this fits the bill. The pages also are a good thickness with a quality feel. The album arrived well packaged with no flaws. All in all very good value without paying a fortune.

I had planned to send this back as I thought the paper wasn't strong enough. However, I didn't and it seems fine after all. The outside was a little bit marked with the odd glue streak or something- not badly though. It does look lovely and have a large capacity. I am using it for all the odd sized photos that don't fit the pocket style albums. I might have preferred black paper inside, which was a bit more expensive. I do recommend it, I searched for good value large albums and it fits the bill for traditional style ones. Remember you need to get photo corners or use glue and it will take a bit longer than other types of album. There are glassine leaves between pages to protect the photos.

My disappointment with this album was that the pages are thinner than my existing ones, so it is not as satisfying to use or, I imagine, as sturdy. But it is SO hard to find this type of photo album at all these days that I would still recommend it, as long as you are prepared for this feature.

Yorumlara ve puanına güvenerek aldık. Kaliteli bir havası var, şık duruyor, güzel paketlenmiş bir şekilde elimize ulaştı. Yüzlerce fotoğrafı aldı bu anlamda çok iyi bir eleştirim olacak çünkü bu durum beni çok rahatsız etti. Koca albüme fotoğrafları tek tek yapıştırdık ceza gibi gerçektende o kadar parayı sana vereceğime bir dosya alır ortasına yüz tane A4 kağıt koyar hallederdim bu işi hemde 100 lira masrafım olmazdı. Böyle bir albüm yapıyorsan fotoğrafları tutacak bir yapışkanlı sistemin olacak. Biz yapıştırıyoruz beğenmedik yerini değiştireceğiz kağıt yırtıyor korkunç bir durum. Yani tavsiye eder miyim bilemem.
