I really love Aunt Jackie’s Flaxseed Elongating Gel! I have 3C hair, and it’s not always easy finding a gel that gives me definition without making my curls feel stiff or crunchy.This gel gives my curls a nice hold, helps with frizz, and keeps my hair feeling soft. I also love that it works really well with my leave-ins and doesn’t leave that weird residue or flakes behind. It layers nicely with my other products, which is a huge plus because some gels just don’t mix well.I love that it helps stretch my curls while still keeping my natural curl pattern. This is an Amazing product. A lightweight gel that can be applied to all textures. The smell isn’t overwhelming, and not if all it doesn’t flake!!! I

This is the best gel, I’ve tried so many different kinds of gels, expensive less expensive and this is the best for my type 3B curls. It can feel heavy, but it dries nice and sets my hair for a couple days. Definitely worth a try!

Y’all. I cut off all my hair in July of this year, and I haven’t worn it out because I felt self conscious about it being “too short”. I’m not sure how long my hair is, maybe a little more than 3 inches? But now I feel more comfortable wearing it as a TWA. I’m not sure my hair type, I know it’s type 4 and VERY dry most of the time despite me moisturizing it daily. Yesterday, I used Ms Jessie’s Pillow Soft curl gel and it was good for elongation but not curl definition. Today I got this and opened it immediately. I was surprised it has a sweet scent, not sure what it smells like but it’s a pleasant smell.Gel is kind of sticky, but it made it easy to finger coil my hair in 10 minutes mostly focusing on the front. I used my diffuser to dry my hair about 90% dry and y’all can see the result. You see these coils popping??? I’m very satisfied with this product! My hair looks shiny and moisturized, and not crunchy like my usual fav gel (olive oil eco styler) leaves my hair. My hair shrinks a lot even though I’ve bleached and colored it, but I won’t complain about that because that means it’s healthy right? First two pics are with the gel and last pic is from this morning after I used ms Jessie's. My hair did shrink with this product but I don’t care because my curls look luscious.Update a month later: The curls look even better and didn’t shrink as much when I used it on wet hair. I have fine, high density hair and as you can see in the pink shirt my hair looks too cute!! If it shrinks too much on wet hair, it works even better (imo) on dry hair!Update 4 months later: my hair is pink and a little bit longer now where I’m swimming with the fishies. You can see where I used the gel and where I was lazy— I mostly focused on the front and the hairs at my nape. I love this gel, but now that my hair is longer it does feel more crunchy to me now so I usually wash it out at the days end. Still love it tho.

This product does prevent shrinking of curl pattern but is a little to heavy. After use your hair may look mashed down. I attempted to use less on clean hair but it still looked managed but too heavy to allow attractive curls. Maybe it is not good for softer, finer hair.

I bought this product to test on my daughters’ curly/coily hair, and the results were simply incredible. I only used this product after applying coconut oil beforehand. So it was just coconut oil, this product, and that’s it.I didn’t even use a comb. I separated the sections using only my fingers, and it gave amazing definition with very little frizz, just the natural frizz that comes with coily hair. The definition also lasts for many days.Even these pictures were taken the day after styling, after they had slept, flattened their hair a bit, and spent the day playing around. I didn’t use a bonnet or anything to protect their hair while sleeping, and it still looked absolutely perfect.

I stay STOCKED up on this gel because I refuse to run out. Aunt Jackie’s Don’t Shrink Flaxseed Gel makes my curls look absolutely amazing every time. It defines my curls without making my hair crunchy or flaky, and it gives such a soft, moisturized hold.The shine, curl definition, and stretch are incredible, especially for natural curls. It helps reduce shrinkage while still keeping my hair bouncy and full of life. A little goes a long way, and it layers well with other products too.This is hands down one of my favorite curl gels ever. If you want juicy, defined curls that actually last, this is it.I just received the shampoo, leave in conditioner and hair oil. I'll be back to review those as well.
