What are the dimensions of the waist area? Will it fit a size 40 waist?

I think it will fit you but tightly, I recommend buying it and trying it out because the waist is expandable with strings. I am a 33 in waist size and if it doesn't fit, worse case is to return it.

Halloween Circus Theme

Worked Very Well.... I got this for a Circus Theme Halloween activity and it was perfect. I am about 6'2" 210 and the fit was good. All the kids enjoyed it. It takes 4 AA batteries and I had it on for a solid 2+ hours with NO inflation issues. This will be good for several activates I would guess. It was not to hot to wear either. You Cant take big steps with it but that is to be expected.
