Great clip - pretty (received a lot of nice comments) Especially, it works great - stays clasped with thick or thinner hair.

I was unsure whether or not this would work. These days I look at the bad reviews first, looking for the same problems over and over. The reviews for this one were the best that I found in a half hour of looking and so I decided to take a chance. I almost didn't. I thought the price was steep, really expensive for just one clip. My attitude was "it better be worth it!". First, it's a really large clip. The size surprised me, I thought it would be too big? It seemed to be solid and well made. When I took it out of the wrap, I checked right away that the clip part opened and closed without obvious signs of imminent looseness or mechanical failure. Then I wrapped around my thick pony and held my breath waiting for the inevitible sound of the barrette breaking, but it didn't! It held all of my hair and held it in place. I am actually here to buy another color so I thought I'd leave a review. I will add photos the next time I use it. I hope it holds up, if it doesn't, I'll let you know. For now, I'm happy with my purchase.

A lovely barrette that works well.

Bought 2. Opened first one and it sprang apart,detached at hinge. Quick pinch with pliers solved that issue. Second clip was hard to open,hard to pinch enough to release clasp. Considered returning but decided to use it a few times and it is easier to open now. These look nice, rubber type coating on spring bar keeps hair from sliding out. Can put hair up in a twist and clamp one of these in place and it holds! Would buy again if I lost them. Would not recommend for anyone with arthritis in hands.

Love these barrettes, will hold my curly hair (lots of it). Unique colors, so I own a couple different ones. Good value for the money and have held up well to use

It's difficult to find a nice BIG hair clip to hold a full head of hair. The outer clip is a nice sturdy plastic, but a little heavy. The inner metal clip part was very THIN, CHEAP and FLIMSY. That part will break easily and quickly, and they should have made that better quality. I gave it a lower rating only because of the LOW QUALITY metal clip part on the inside, which is actually the most important part because that's what holds your hair in the darn clip!

Holds my fine hair well. It is a little big but if it works that is okay.
