PROXXON MicroClick 200 Torque Wrench 1/2-Inch

I bought this wrench a few years back to fasten the wheelbolts on my car and motorcycle to specified torque. So that's occasional use. I always reset it to its minimum setting. It developed a problem with the lock knob coming on, but not off. Stuck. I have since read some German reviews of people reporting the same problem. It's easily solved if you're inclined to do this yourself (owning one of these means you probably are): you pry off the yellow end-cap, which is simply held in place with sticky tape, remove the tape and now you see a screw. Turn it antoclockwise for a bit (you need a simple Allen keyfor this) and you can welcome Bob back into the family. For a more permanent solution unscrew it fully (don't need to pull out the knob), apply some Loctite and screw it back in, to its proper depth. It's the Loctite that has failed in the first place, allowing the screw to go too deep as you change settings. A bigger problem was the inaccuracy. The rear wheel of my motorbike needs its bolts set at 105 Nm (yes, I'm metric). Setting the wrench this turned out to be just 90Nm. So that is not within 3%. In fact, it is not within 10%, and you don't want your rear wheel taking off on its own. Now the good news is that these wrenches are easily calibrated (remove the little plastic plug on the side, once again use Allen key). You'll need a calibrated counterdevice, like another wrench that has been calibrated or one of these digital torque adapters, but a known weight (or digital scales) and tapemeasure will get you there too. Ok, now we're past that hurdle here's my final gripe: after adjustment it is now ok in the midrange, about six percent under in the low range and six percent over in the high range. In other words, the inaccuracy is not linear and cannot be fully adjusted for. Now I know one is meant to believe this normal for any torque wrench using a spring. Go tell Norbar. I have thirty year old torque wrenches from them that are still accurate across their entire range. Perhaps you should buy British after all :)

La llave es grande, se nota que es de calidad, es muy fácil poner la fuerza que se necesita y al apretar cuando llega a la fuerza programada el clak se oye y se siente muy bien, perfecto para apretar el tornillo del eje trasero de mi moto. El clak solo es para cuando se apreta a derechas(sentido de las agujas del reloj). También decir que para cuidar este tipo de llaves, no se use para aflojar.

Aggiornamento del 01/06/2019 Nelle mie foto numerate in sequenza cerco di esporre come la rendo sinistrorsa nel caso mi serva, perchè così come arriva ... !!! ... IN SENSO ANTIORARIO FUNZIONA COME UNA QUALSIASI LEVA A CRICCHETTO, cioè SENZA POSSIBILITA' DI DARE LA GIUSTA COPPIA SERRANDO A SINISTRA anzichè a destra. Se si insiste aspettando il fatidico clic ... si spezza la vite o si sfiletta. Questa leva dinamometrica NON nasce sinistrorsa e NON è usabile "al volo" per dare la giusta coppia con filettature sinistrorse ma all'occorrenza si può rendere sinistrorsa mantenendo la possibilità del controllo della giusta coppia intervenendo sul cricchetto. La stessa procedura è valida per qualsiasi dinamometrica che monti lo stesso tipo di cricchetto. Forse servirà mai farlo ma all'occorrenza, non avendo al momento alternative, funziona e vengono anche conservati i valori di coppia risultanti. La conversione è reversibile, basta procedere all'inverso di quanto Vi espongo con le mie foto numerate in sequenza. NON smontate altre parti della dinamometrica per non compromettere la taratura fatta in fabbrica dei giusti valori di coppia. NB: Il cricchetto è reversibile in rotazione ma la leva dà il segnale del raggiungimento della coppia prestabilita SOLO se spinta in direzione della freccia visibile sul manico in prossimità del N° seriale. La chiave dinamometrica (questa proxxon MC200): Nella sua scatola in plastica verde militare è ben protetta e fa la sua bella figura senza mostrare inutili fronzoli. L'involucro non concede spazio interno per accessori. Il contenitore è munito di linguetta estraibile a slitta con asola per poterlo appendere al quadro di lavoro per gli attrezzi o a un gancio qualsiasi purchè sufficientemente robusto. Ritratta la linguetta è la solita scatola da riporre a scaffale. Il manuale istruzioni è anche in Italiano. E' corredata di certificazione con il suo n° seriale e i valori rilevati al collaudo. I miei riscontri: - Peso del solo attrezzo = 1809 grammi (su bilancina elettronica) - Peso totale, custodia compresa = 2205 gr - Ingombro esterno della custodia = 580 x 70 x 65 mm - Lunghezza totale dell'attrezzo (ingombro) = 560 mm - Distanza tra cento del quadro e punto di maggior spinta con la mano (leva effettiva) = 470 mm - Regolazione della coppia a step di 0.25 Nm (1 numero/Nm ogni 4 scatti del blocco regolazione) L'ho confrontata su coppie diverse con le dinamometriche certificate USAG 810 N (40-200 Nm) e BETA 666N/20 (40-200 Nm) di un amico meccanico professionista (grazie Enrico) andando a serrare con questa bulloni ben lubrificati precedentemente stretti con esse (non si sono mossi) poi serrando con le altre i bulloni prima stretti a coppie prestabilite con questa Proxxon MC200. Anche in questo caso i bulloni non si sono mossi, quindi ritengo rientri perfettamente nelle tolleranze dichiarate. Mi sembra una valida alternativa alle dinamometriche di brand più costosi, con un rapporto qualità/prezzo più che adeguato. La riacquisterei certamente, anzi ne ho già acquistata un'altra per mio figlio appassionato di auto d'epoca, sempre assetato di poter fare la cosa giusta per le sue "4 ruote".

La clé semble de qualité et le réglage est plutôt précis. Lourde et livrée dans une bonne boîte en plastique, loin des clés à 30€ je pense.

Absolut toller Drehmomentschlüssel. Die Bedienung ist sehr einfach und genau. Die Rückmeldung über das erreichte Drehmoment ist präzise und eindeutig. Der Anzug ist einfach und der Schlüssel liegt sehr gut in der Hand. Absolute Kaufempfehlungen.

Great Torque Wrench for the price. I shopped around and this one looks and feels the best. I don't like cheap flimsy tools. This one is not flimsy, it feels and looks high quality. The storage case is nice, hangs on the wall. Easy to read dial and easy to adjust. The ratchet direction selector switch tab is the weakest point. It doesn't seem like it is as good as "snap-on" or craftsman pro..
