A fabulous travel iron
Last minute purchase as our old iron was broken. Turned out to be a blessing. It's much better than the one we had. Cost twice as much but well worth it for the job it does. I think the steel soleplate makes all the difference. It irons denim perfectly - great steam function. Plus a steam shot for stubborn creases. The heat level is adjustable. It only weighs half a kilo - ideal for travel luggage. Its style takes a little getting used to, but you'll move past this as soon as you see how good it irons. It feels quite strong so hopefully lasts a long time. Plus you have the Swan 2 year guarantee.

good little iron, i'm impressed
I was a little unsure about a travel iron due to the mixed reviews, i wanted it primarily for my sewing room but also for the occasional holiday, although who irons on holiday!!! It's a good size, comfortable and easy to use, ironed well, heated up quickly and was as hot as you'd expect, removed creases, it's a better design than it looks. It's a small iron so lightweight in that respect. If you over fill it, it does indeed leak but then so do all irons.

Perfect for sewing but difficult at top temperatures
Irons really well however at high temperature it is a burn risk as there's no handle that is away from the heated parts. It also leaks a little. Would recommend highly however use a heat protection glove for safety.

Bought from Gadgetize. Don't.
The iron itself is good. It was just the seller that I had problems with. This first one came with a torn cardboard cover for the soleplate, no instruction leaflet and a crack in the body just above the soleplate where it had landed after being dropped. So I put in a return request. After it was returned the company seemed slow in dealing with my replacement. At one point I had to ask them what the latest news was on my replacement. After an exchange of messages and 2 weeks had gone by I received my replacement which came in a weak, flimsy box with a large hole in it where, I assume, something heavy had landed on it. The object also made a hole in the side of the box that held the iron. Luckily there was no damage to the iron. I noticed some residue on the soleplate and had to clean it off. After it was clean I then noticed 2 very small dents in the soleplate and a slight crease in the soleplate near the tip of the iron. I got the impression that I had received someone else’s return. I tried the iron and it works okay. I have not actually ironed anything, I just filled it with water and switched it on. I have decided to keep it as it will still do the job and the blemishes I found are quite minimal. All in all I didn’t have a good experience with this purchase which is probably why I paid £11.51 for it.

Not for quilting but ok as mini iron
It’s a great little iron for occasional use. I like: The long cord. Larger water tank that actually closes. That has a steam feature. Stands easily when not in use. Heats up really fast and well. Two year warranty. But has no Teflon and will cause the iron to the scratched easily and things to stick to it easily too. Ok for short term but really not a quilting mini iron for the sewing room. For that must buy a oliso, which is quite pricey.

Brilliant little iron
When I received this iron I thought that because there is not a proper handle. I wouldn't be able to use it, how wrong I was. It has streamlined hand holds either side, which might make it a little awkward to use for some people, but suggest you try it because it is brilliant. I didn't change the voltage, which you can do, but it still worked brilliantly, getting through all the creases on my thick cargo shorts, excellent and a perfect size to fit all the seams around the pockets and flaps. It might get uncomfortable if you have small hands and a lot to iron. It really glides through the creases with hardly any pressure. This iron is better than most full size irons. You have nothing to lose by trying it, as I got it on a free returns basis. A must have travel iron...

Outstanding travel iron
This is a brilliant travel iron which replaced an old one which had started to fall apart. The design is excellent, my previous model had a fold down handle which after a few trips started to crack and eventually wouldn't stay upright. The design on my previous one was also very basic. This looks and feels waaaay better. Firstly there is no handle, this means the iron is just one unit with nothing to break. It's comfortable to hold, you just grip the sides, and the purple styling looks great. It's very quick to heat up, taking around a minute for max heat and although the power is nothing amazing it was more than good enough to iron out creases in my jeans. It's got a good steam system, is dual voltage and comes with small water jug and a fabric case. Lastly, it's very light and portable which is obviously the main reason you buy a travel iron. I would wholeheartedly recommend this, it's brilliant
