OXO Good Grips Silicone Flexible Pancake Turner | Heat-resistant head, safe for non-stick cookware, comfortable non-slip handle

I really like this egg lifter. It is a perfect size to get under the whole egg and reduce the risk of broken yolks. Also perfect for omelettes. You can fold the omelette in half without it breaking like it does when using smaller lifters. Our old lifter was a nylon version. After a few uses the nylon would start to melt and bits would come off while cooking. This silicone lifter does not melt in a conventional frying pan cooking bacon on a medium to high heat. The metal handle means I can rest it on the edge of the frying pan after cooking without worrying that it might melt. I would definitely recommend this lifter.

The handles a little shorter than ideal, and the "slipperiness" of the silicone blade takes a little getting used to, but all in all it's perfectly usable. The blades got a nice amount of flex to it, that means you can press it to the side of the frying pan to make it conform to the curve and slip down the side of, for example, an omelette, which has never been an option on any of the previous wide spatulas I've had. So while not perfect, it's still a pretty good utensil.

I really love this and for roasted veg or potatoes it's great but for small sized frying pans the spatula is too wide. It's ok in larger pans but it would also not be great for a Wok. As with all OXO items it's well made and dishwasher safe. I've had mine for some time now and there is no damage at all.

Love this, I can finally flip a Spanish omelette. Great for homemade burgers and falafels. All can be flipped without breaking apart.

I wish I hadn't bothered to get this - nothing wrong with it other than really it's just too big to get much use out of it. I do have a very large frying pan for when all the family are here, and I don't even find it easy to use with that.The normal sized turners are much more usable. I actually got it to help flip pancakes, i thought the big surface would be an asset but its far too big and inflexible to use with those smaller pans. Its useful for scooping stuff off baking trays though and I guess thats what I'l use it for more than anything. But really a complete waste of money for me. And I did check the measurements first and thought it would be ideal, but it's just too difficult to get it under the edge of anything in a smaller pan, especially pancakes! So my advice is to measure very carefully before you purchase! It's huge to store with similar utensils too, I have to keep it in my frying pan drawer and hate it every time I see it there, reminding me of what a waste of money it was! Perhaps I need more practise. I'll add another review if things improve!

First of all this IS a large turner(one I have been looking for for some time) it measures 6inches wide X 5 inches deep,and the handle is 7 inches.Quite how a previous reviewer was surprised at the size I don't know.The size is listed on the details section,but as it is in Cm maybe they got confused,I prefer inches myself! It is well designed withe centre of the turner being rigid,and it has a flexible thin edge,ideal for slipping under pancakes or omelettes.Of course you don't have to restrict yourself to this use alone.I find it equally as useful for lifting two fried egs,or several rashers of bacon.I am sure you can come up with other uses too. You won't find another utensil as large or as useful as this,and at the price it is it's a bargain

Below this update is my original review. I have to update from two stars to FIVE!! My original spatula split after 6 weeks, BUT, the company replaced it quickly AND the new one has lasted four years. It is still going strong; however, after four years, I am afraid it may give out, and I use it several times a day. Eggs for breakfast and flipping other foods for our main meal. So I plan to order another one just like it. I just noticed that the price has actually gone DOWN since my original purchase. How ironic is that? I still LOVE the spatula. it is absolutely perfect for my needs; HOWEVER, after about 6 weeks of use, the plastic has split and the metal is coming through. It is a bit expensive to only last for 6 weeks. Wish I knew how to contact the manufacturer. I have a really hard time understanding the bad reviews. Yes, it is big. The dimensions are given in the description. Even though it is large, I can use it in all but my very smallest skillet (one egg size). I love it. I have only had it a few weeks, but I have used it at least a dozen times - omelettes, chicken, vegetables. It has not stuck to anything; in fact, nothing has really stuck to it either (except maybe uncooked egg). Today, I went back and forth, using it in my electric skillet and in my frying pan on the stove. The breaded squash did not stick to it. I LIKE the large size. It makes it so much easier and faster to turn frying foods. It is slightly flexible - it needs to be. But it is not so flexible that it bends down. The front edge is very thin, making it easier to slide under foods. Thanks to it being heat resistant, I can leave it in the pan while cooking. So far, I have found nothing to dislike about it. I may even order another one.

Just fantastic. Good quality, great grip and designed to reach under foods being prepared in order to be turned over. No complaints. Will buy more if needed in the future.

On lit sur la pelle : "HEAT RESISTANT TO 600°F/315°C" et c'est vrai. Elle ne fond pas pour y laisser des morceaux dans la nourriture. Au départ, j'étais déçue en voyant la taille. Je m'y attendais pas qu'elle soit si grande... 15cm de large (voir photo), mais finalement, elle est impeccable pour maintes plats. Je m'en sers tout le temps.

Ótimo produto. Qualidade indiscutível e praticidade no manuseio. Amo tudo do OXO.
