Jim Dunlop 9020TP 3 Finger Picks and 1 Thumb Pick Large Player Pack (Pack of 4)

I read the reviews before buying and decided to purchase them. At first i did find them tight on my large thumb and fingers. I soaked them in hot water as suggested in some reviews and with a gentle stretching of each one i managed to widen them enough until they fitted and felt comfortable. Ive just been playing my guitar for half and hour using all of the picks and they are now just fine for me.

Firstly, I don’t like using finger picks. I lose a lot of ‘feel’ when playing (I’m an average OK ish finger picker). I need them when I smash my nails up usually doing something manual. I find they scrape down the string and the noise this makes I can hear over the string sound. However, these Dunlop picks are better than most, especially metal ones, which amplify the scrape even more. One of the negatives I read is they are small and uncomfortable. I have smaller hands than most blokes and my fingers are smaller but I think that is good in a way as if they are loose, the playability will be awful. I find them a bit of a squeeze to get them down my fingers far enough but overall they are not uncomfortable. However, I would say that a bigger size is needed for most adult males, who IMO might struggle with these.

I got the large and they fitted me well. I like using the thumb pick, less keen on the finger picks. This is my preference not the product.

They are well made and as expected quality from Dunlop but they are so darn painful. The thumb is the worst but the fingers suffer too. Yes you can heat and shape to fit but who pays for them when I break or mess them up doing so... oh that would be me. That said the thumb I found to be way too thick and would be too harsh for a strum. The fingers would have been ok.

I ordered large, but wow they were small. So tight, made fingers go numb.

Totally not a large size .They are no different to the medium size .If you are going to buy them get from local music shop

Nice set of picks but quite small. OK for me but I would not class as large. I had to open them out and I don't have massive hands. Good quality though.

Aunque la pua está bien el tamaño es pequeño. Por lo menos para mí, que tengo unas manos grandes

Die Größenangabe ist etwas optimistisch ! Fallen für meinen Geschmack (= mitteleurop.Männerhände L/XL) etwas klein aus, aber mit dem "Heißwasser-Trick" konnten wir sie schon etwas "trimmen" Qualität = TOP !
