I tried this magnet with a four layered clothing and it kept that clothing in a good shape ........ There are many magnetic pins out there but If you want magnetic pins with a strong magnetic Power that would stay wherever u use it , I would really recommend this product...... I use it once for my saree pleats and it worked just like any pin minus the piercing of the cloth. Sturdy and strong. I even use it as accessory for my formal shirt with long gaps in between the buttons
