Price was a large part of why I chose this battery, compared to the canon OEM battery this one is almost free. It performs exactly like the Canon Battery. I have recorded over an hour at one time and still have plenty juice left. I think anyone needing long recording times will be pleased with this battery, Of course the battery is pretty large for the size of the camcorder, but with all large capacity battery for this camcorder the stick out quite a ways. Well worth the price. and you get two batteries. Far exceeded my expectations.

Good fit and replacement for my old Cannon Vixia batteries. Works as expected.

Haven't had chance to use these much yet but seem better than original Canon batteries - as they have more capacity to start with. Have 2) Watson batteries from BH Photo but they are wearing out and aging. These seem to be a good replacement at a good price.

I came to you as the camera I bought was so new that the rather large electronics store did not carry any battery under $100, so I went to a battery store. They did not have them in stock and could not even order them yet. I bought two large batteries through Amazon for less than $50 and had them shipped. They arrived in two or three days, were well packaged, and seem to work great. I haven't used them enough yet to evaluate their performance but I charged them up and they seem to be accepted by the camera well and are still fully charged after a week. My impression of them at this time is, GREAT!

The batteries that came with my camcorder only last 20mins at best. So these batteries were a big upgrade. I have heavily used these batteries for the last year and so far so good. They easily last over 120mins each... It does however add a lot to the weight and size of your camera so be aware. Definately a great buy if your looking to buy batteries that last long and show charge status.

After a few years and only sporadic use and recharging, these are still working!

First I normally demand Canon OEM, but bought a used Vixia HF300 and didn't want to spend 3x more than the camera that I had no proof worked. Spent a full day "exploring" with the camera and first charge lasted me >120 minutes of actual recording, playback, playing with the features and some time on standby mode during and after a three hour hike. Camera displayed the battery life and kicked off with about <16 minutes (yellow zone) allegedly remaining. However I had not had a full cycle of charge/discharge on the battery as is recommended by canon to "set" the camera battery display, so I would expect a better reading next use. All being said heck with Canon's OEM these babies work great and having a back-up is ALWAYS the way to go.

Battery life is not the same like the original ones

I start using these batteries on my canon video camera, and found them amazing. They have long life, longer then the original ones. They also corresponds with the camera so you know how much juice are still there. Not all OEM batteries have this capability.

Meh they do what there suppose to

Works well on the Canon VIXIA HF M500 and M50. As good or better than Canon original battery.
