Great book to encourage enjoyable healthy eating.
I am a big fan of Annabelโs books as a busy grandma with 4 fussy grand children, only her recipes ensure them enjoying eating and so do I! The youngest is 10 months and I bought the book as soon as it came out to freshen my collection, literally, the Annabelโs Complete Baby and Toddler Meal Planner are covered with food stains. I find it quite difficult to come up with ideas for finger foods, the youngest only wants to feed herself. So far I have tried three finger food recipes Broccoli Chicken and Potato Bites, Salmon Quinoa and Spinach Balls and Roasted Sweet Potato with Parmesan. All are great, because apart from the fact they are delicious, they donโt fall to pieces and are the perfect size and texture for little ones. Also most of the recipes can be frozen, so I make up a batch of these finger foods when I am cooking and keep them in the freezer for when I have the grand children over to stay, often at the last minute. I would thoroughly recommend this book .

Godsend
Annabel makes baby food so appealing that you want to eat it yourself and the beauty of this book is that you can ! The idea behind her new book is to allow the baby to take the lead and feed herself . The recipes are creative but easy to prepare . As a Grandmother I have bought two copies one as a gift as I found Annabel's books to be a Godsend when I had my daughter and now my daughters generation are able to have the benefit of Annabel's delightful books for their children. Well done Annabel, another fabulous book.

Highly recommended
Some great recipes in here that my daughter still enjoys two years later, especially the burgers and chicken balls. The fritters are great, and the best thing about this book is that it inspires you to make your own creations with whatever is lying around. Recommended.

Love This Book
Love This Book !This book has been my โBibleโ. Annabel clearly explains which are the best foods for Baby Led Weaning and how to prepare them and gave me the confidence to try baby led weaning . I bought other books on BLW but the recipes were very bland and my baby just wouldnโt eat them. Annabel finds ways to make baby food delicious so much that we want to eat the recipes ourselves . I am baffled by some of the reviews that say she adds salt to her recipes as she has quite clearly marked on all the recipes not to add salt before one year and instead uses herbs and clever combinations to bring out the flavour . Am not a great cook but everything I have tried so far has been so easy to make . I love the recipes where everything gets blitzed in a food processor and then the mixture is made into little balls the perfect size for small hands ., My son couldnโt get enough of the the Mini Burgers with grated apple and thyme and we are all addicted to the no sugar Mini Energy Balls which need no baking and are the perfect snack for all ages . Itโs amazing value and a book we will use for many years to come โฆ.

Don't bother if you want to feed the whole family!
It's okay. I've been using the 'Baby-led Weaning Cookbook' by Gill Rapley before buying this. This book does not address one of the best things about the approach in that other, much better book, which is that the whole family should be able to pretty much eat the same thing. These recipes don't include measurements for adult portions as well so for me is useless. It also uses sweet things in some recipes, which I'm trying to avoid completely. is nicely presented and has some nice recipes, but I won't be cooking any of them!!! Disappointed given Annabelle's excellent reputation!

Annabel Kareem has produced another brilliant book. I've used this for my second baby
Annabel Kareem has produced another brilliant book. I've used this for my second baby, and with great success. The recipes are simple and easy and crucially full of all the nutrients babies need. Yes, there's a sweet section but isn't life about everything in moderation! I highly recommend this book to anyone who likes cooking and is looking for a sensible, common sense approach to baby led weaning.

Definitely the best weaning book
Definitely the best weaning book!! So easy if you don't have time to sit and read, you just open the book and it has pictures of the foods you can give from 6 months on - really useful, easy and non time consuming recipes to follow.. I even bought an extra one to give as a present to a friends who is about to start weaning! Really recommend. In fact my husband wants me to start cooking these meals for him - so great for all the family!! Thank you Annabel Karmel

The most Anti-BLW book?
I have just finished reading this book from cover to cover and I rarely give a 1 star rating, but this book was awful.Infuriating infact. For a BLW, it's very anti-BLW.It almost verbatims the NHS guidance at times with no reference, and at others makes reference to it, when the text is misleading and not fact.Beginning weaning before 6 months is mentioned in more then one place, when the NHS guidance is not to begin until 6 months, contradicting the guidelines, which are also mentioned in the book.Ten pages in and Annabel Karmel's plugged her other books twice and pushing purees in your face. The only helpful pages are the two tips pages and two pictures of food pages.ย She has recipes using honey, even though it's not advised for under ones, due to it possibly causing death. Which if someone didn't read the intro, or know the guidance could pick the recipe and never know. The recipes aren't very creative either. For example, there's at least three kebab recipes, veggie, meat, fish, but remember if using 'skewers, remove them before serving'! What's the point then? Also who needs a recipe for a roast dinner when BLW or any form of weaning? And half the recipes are sugary or sweet, which given to too young can lead to a preference for sweet foods. The recipes start badly with a few smoothies, because that's a great place to start your BLW journey! No information about how best to serve said smoothies, which I expected there to be.The recipes for me were nothing new and felt a bit repetitive. If you're looking for BLW advice then you're best looking elsewhere.I'm left uninspired and disappointed.P.S. I find the front cover creepy. I almost didn't buy. Thank goodness it's a kindle book and I can delete it and not a physical copy to get rid of.

Too small text in kindle version
The content of the book is great with all the ideas and explanations of BLW. However, I would not recommend buying the kindle version as the words come out very very tiny and the size of the text were just ok if I magnify each paragraph. I always buy books in kindle version and this book is a big disappointment.

Recipes Too Time Consuming and Complicated. Sorry.
I was expecting a book of simple baby-led weaning balanced meal ideas for my baby. This book has fancy recipes that require too many ingredients and are far too time consuming and complicated for preparing for a baby on a daily basis. This book is for someone that likes spending all day in the kitchen cooking and cleaning up. Has a few good kid-friendly recipes.
