Whole new gaming experience!
Pre-ordered for £437.58 on 1st Oct and received it on 5th Nov. Made a HUGE jump from a 19'' 1440x900 60Hz 5ms Asus monitor which I now have as a 2nd monitor but rarely use it besides looking at the chat when I do the odd streaming, I tend to not use because it just feels terrible now that I have this mean beast! The best way I can put is to ask yourself if you've ever played a game below 30fps because that's how a 60Hz monitor now feels! Literally it's like 165Hz is 60fps and 60Hz is 30fps, NIGHT and DAY difference seriously I cannot try to put it out more than this. This monitor is sharper than all 4K TVs except 40'' 4K panels (110.15 PPI*) which have a really minimal 1.36 *Pixel Per Inch difference....My 48'' 4K UHDTV = 91.79 PPI; 27'' 1440p monitor = 108.79 PPI ! The 27'' 1440p 165Hz + 1ms + G-sync package is probably the best available right now, the graphics look amazing, everything moves as soon as it should and it's really buttery smooth with no screen tearing at all! The non Definitive Edition of Sleeping Dogs on ULTRA was a truly awesome experience with this monitor even though I didn't get the 165fps to match the refresh rate it still felt amazing despite the fact of having to OC my GTX 1070 to always get above 60fps as it sometimes dipped to 50fps. Really recommend this if you play CSGO as getting flickshots feels GODLIKE. The only minor problems I've had: - My desk is just under 20 inches/50.8cm wide and the monitor's stand from front to back is roughly 10.5 inches/26.7cm (the rubber feet at the back aren't right under the edge you can save yourself 2cm by pushing it further like I did) which makes my regular sized Steelseries Qck Mass mousepad (32x28cm) overlap the edge of the stand which makes the top left corner of it unusable so you might want to measure your desk and make sure it's at least 21.5 inches wide if you use a mousepad with the same width as mine. - Being a higher resolution you get stunning quality graphics etc. the downside is facebook videos and probably anything below 1080p will look like minecraft. Overall it's a perfect monitor and I'm super happy with it and saving almost £100 by pre-ordering it. Approved by a Global Elite who wrecks silvers on a daily basis. Edit: The whole TN panel has bad viewing angles is just silly, no one should care about this because you spend most if not all of the time just sitting infront of it!

Fantastic monitor
Disclaimer: at the time of this review I've only had this monitor for 2 days now so shall adjust my review if anything changes. Edit: I've now had this monitor for over a month and can confirm it is still absolutely fantastic to game on. I've gone from doing my PC gaming on a 50" TV sitting in a lounge chair to this 27" monitor on a proper desk setup. So far it has been a massive improvement and my concerns on whether it'll be a noticeable upgrade have been laid to rest. The 144mhz refresh rate is fantastic, allowing me to see people in pubg who are moving around me a lot easier than it was on the big screen with lower refresh. The upgrade to 2k from 1080p is also amazing with a lot more detail being viewable on character models, textures and everything else. Assassins Creed: Origins in 1440p w/high refresh rate compared to the 1080p 60fps is a huge leap in terms of visuals (and I'd already said that ACO in 1080p was the most visually stunning game I'd played this year so that's really saying something). Even Overwatch which I didn't expect to see much difference graphically had a big quality improvement from the characters looking sharper and richer coloured skins, strangely it seemed to give a sense of scale for each character when stood near taller/shorter characters but that's possibly just in my head. My system for comparison is AMD Ryzen 1500x CPU, GTX 1080 GPU, 16gb DDR4 3000mhz RAM on a SSD. Unlike other reviewers who've had issues with dead pixels on multiple replacements, either my display has arrived perfectly or I'm not as fussy as them but I cannot see a single one. The built in speakers are pretty feeble but are fine for someone like me who is between speakers/headsets right now and do the job to a decent level, example being that when I'm in pubg I can still discern from what direction gun fire is coming from just not as well as when I was using my surround sound (well, duh!). Realistically though, anyone who is spending this much money on a monitor along with the PC to get the most out of it is probably not going to be using the built in speakers for anything other than a stop gap to something dedicated. I would certainly recommend this monitor to anyone looking to upgrade from 1080p/24" screen however as it's the only 2k/144mhz refresh/27" screen I've used I can't comment on it's qualities in comparison to other models/brands.

Gaming monitor at its finest.
*(PREVIOUS REVIEW) I bought a used Acer predator 27inch monitor from Amazon warehouse deals. It came quickly and when expected. When I opened the package it looked pretty much brand new from the outside. That's when everything went down hill. When setting it up and plugging it in I found that it violently just flashed the image on and off on the screen with no reason why. I altered settings on my pc and the monitor it self. I finally found a way to stop it by putting it down from 144hz refresh rate to 85hz which by that point it stopping blinking on and off. This is unacceptable as one of the reasons I bought the monitor was the high refresh rate for gaming and if it's cut down by just above half then it's not following it specifications on the box. From this I had to send it back and get a refund. I have ordered another and will review differently dependant on my second try at getting a monitor that works.(PREVIOUS REVIEW)* Update: Bought a new monitor which has worked literally 'plug in and play'. A very different story to the last faulty one which left me with hours of fiddling options to get it to work for it to inevitable not work to its full potential. The resolution on games is stunning and pretty much hard to tell next to 4k. The high refresh rate 144hz or 165hz overclock and G-sync is great for smooth gameplay. The colours to me look great and needed minor tweaks to get them right. The adjustable stand is a great feature. The overall build of this monitor screams quality. Would of given this 5 if it wasn't for all the problems I had at the start which is more an Amazon issue rather than the product itself.

DO NOT BUY THIS
Okay so first of all the monitor looks great. It goes well with my black and red scheme. Its got a great design and the stand is amazing. You are able to raise it up and bend up and down however you like it. But & as you can see by the reviews it has many problems. When i got mine it seemed to be okay. No scrapes no marks no nothing. However when I turned it on i saw a problem straight away. It didn't look high quality what so ever. I went and checked the monitor setting and the setting in windows and they both said it was at 1440p. Secondly and its hard to explain but easiest way to put it is that it looked like there were 'Grease stains' on the screen. Now the monitor is completely clean but when I turned it on and looked at it you can clearly see that it looked like grease stains. Lastly and as i said at the top it didn't look like it was 1440p at all. I went and looked at a 1080p 60fps video and even on that video when I looked at it it was just too pixalated & looked horrible. The colors and contrast were messed up too. No I have returned it and its such a pain due to the size and weight of it. I got a replacement coming in so lets just hope I don't have this problem again. But for some reason I have a feeling i will ....

Great monitor
Great monitor, been using it for 2 weeks now and loving it but it's been a bumpy ride to get it. 1st one had 2 dead pixels with one of them being within an inch of the centre of the screen. Amazon was great and had a replacement sent out for next working day. 2nd one didn't arrive although it said 'handed to resident'. Have CCTV and confirmed that a silver Audi drove passed at the time of the delivery so very high suspicions of the driver doing the delivery and doing a expensive fiddle. Got the reg and footage, sent it off to Amazon but no reply (not interested in goods going missing?) Had to wait another few days for them to finally send out another to which did arrive and works great. Very clear colours, very sharp plus lots of features. Would highly recommend this monitor. FYI : Does come with USB3 and display port (1m) cables which is very handy.

This is a fantastic gaming monitor
This monitor is fantastic. So much better than my previous one. 144hz is so silky smooth. I noticed a few issues when I went up to 165 but my computer can't get that high anyway so I'm quite happy to stick at 144 and it works great. The colours are great. The image quality is great. The user interface and buttons are pretty confusing, but you won't have to fiddle with them too often so that's not too much of an issue. Overall, I'd totally recommend this monitor. Low latency, high resolution, high framerate, large size g-sync What's not to love?

Excellent upgrade, watch the price though
3rd time lucky with this monitor, 1st on bought didnt even exist amazon refunded. 2nd one came with a damaged board and displayport, vital for achieving the 144hz and more. Sent to Acer for repairs which was an absolute joke, told by both Amazon and Acer it was under warranty, turns out it wasn't as it was from Amazon Warehouse, they had it for around a month before I was able to send it back to Amazon. Cost of the repair was going to be more than the monitor was worth new! Sent back for a refund. 3rd time I managed to snag a new one for £383. At this price totally worth it with gsync and 165hz OC. I decided to go for the TN version as side by side, could see no real difference from my current IPS after tweaking the colours. Would defo recommend, but watch the price, it fluctuates massively!

However it performs terribly producing deep black colours
Decent monitor, runs smooth as hell at 144hz and looks gorgeous when viewing vivid bright scenes. However it performs terribly producing deep black colours. Quite evident banding when playing games with dark areas, or photo editing, not what you'd expect from a monitor of this price. Tried adjusting settings a million times to no luck.

Recommended if your PC can take advantage of it.
This product is for people who have a decent gaming PC, The high refresh rate of this monitor means that you need a good GPU to go along with it. It’s about $150.00 extra from where I am from, but Indian prices are generally more than the rest of the world. It’s a good monitor if your PC can support it .

Overclock works only on DisplayPort
Everything is good it just gave me a small heart attack when I was in Game Mode. It had | split line in middle of the screen. I had to turn off the Mode and turn it again to be back to normal. - limits 2 port (HDMI & DisplayPort )
