Amazing head.
Been drumming for nearly 30 years. 5 years in death metal. Used this skin for 2 albums and one ep. with a vinyl cover for touring. Gives great resonance even with the vinyl tour cover. Fast pedalling is great with this skin. Love it. still waiting for a reason to buy any other. Until then i shall stick with evans. They make fantastic heads.

Evans BD22RB EQ3 22-inch Bass Drum Head
This bass resonance head is great, better than I expected. I have a mid-range drum kit and was still using the reso head that came with it. Someone recommended that I should replace it, which I did reluctantly because I did not expect a big difference in sound. I was wrong, the sound is now both fuller and drier, making the bass drum more defined and with a great contrast with the snare. Well worth the money.

Bass Drum Skin
Evan's skins are quality products and this bass drum skin was no different, needed the front hole to allow the bass drum mic to be inserted into drum, plane skin but can get the band logo added at later stage. Packaging, postage and delivery both excellent - no complaints and recommended!!

Perfect replacement for stock reso heads
I bought this to replace the unported stock resonant head that came with my 16x20 Gretsch Renown bass drum. The hole is cut perfectly with a little bit of reinforcement on the interior, but the reinforcement doesn't stand out like a sore thumb with a hard plastic ring or something which is a plus. It does have the muffling ring which probably gives it a more focused sound, but I still find it useful to put a bit of dampening inside the drum which is a rolled up throw blanket folded into a C shape so that the ends lightly touch both heads. It's the perfect amount of dampening. One thing to be aware of is that whatever Evans is using to print the Evans logo and EQ3 model name no longer comes off with acetone (nail polish remover).
