Great value headphones!
I ordered a pair of these after my old Skullcandy earphones broke (I'd had them for about a year). They seem well-built compared to other Skullcandy earphones, but if you want earphones which are going to last for much more than a couple of years at most, you'd probably be best to look elsewhere. They have a stylish modern look about them and work great with apple devices. I've tried it with my laptop and they work fine, except for the microphone and volume controls, but this didn't annoy me too much. The sound is pristine! The bass is quite deep, which works really well with the majority of modern music, but I wouldn't recommend them to anyone who intends to listen to softer music (e.g. Classical). The quality of the sound doesn't decrease as you turn up the volume, which was very important for me. However, they still sound good at low volumes too, as they block out background noise really well. Another thing that I found important was how quiet they were to outsiders, while they were being used. If they are kept at a reasonable volume (roughly half volume), they produce very little unwanted sound outside of the earphones, so you don't annoy any people nearby. The case is a great bonus too! It's a small black tin which looks fab and easily fits in your pocket to keep your earphones safe. It can be a little difficult to open at first, but you'll soon get used to this. One thing slightly disappointed me though. They appear on here to be Black/Black colour, whereas the actual earphones were Black/Chrome (mainly black, but with a chrome ring at the top, before the earbuds). To sum-up, they are a great pair of earphones with a sound quality that rivals more expensive competitors, however, there is no guarantee that they will last for a long time because of their occasional poor build quality.

Great sound for price but always breaks
Amazing sound quality as well as comfort! Within a month however one earphone stopped working, and so I sent them back. I then bought a £50 pair of headphones (in-ear) in hopes they'll have the same sound, if not then better, and that they will last much longer, however when I listened to them the high notes were tinny and the lows were too quiet, so I immediately refunded them and got these skullcandys again but a different colour, praying that these will last longer as they sound awesome! Unfortunately after a month the left earphone just stopped working one day, I was so upset.I was determined to find out why this kept happening, and apparently it is because the cable inside the (weak) plastic casing twists easily, so they snap. I played around with my broken skullcandys until i found where the tiny tear (snapped area) in the cable was by twisting and turning its weak points which are where it plugs in to your iPod/phone/etc (the jack?) and where the wire joins to the actual earphone. The tear was right near where it plugs in, and so I looked up ways to be more careful- one method was to unplug them before twisting them around your ipod when you're finished using them (a habit of mine) so the cable doesn't bend (which leads to the tearing of what's inside the cables.)Ah. So I prepared myself for the 3rd set. As soon as I got them I made sure to unplug them every time, and wrap them up properly so that nothing is damaged, I even put them in their case. 1.5 months of success later hey stabbed me in the back and the left earphone just went quiet on me, not completely mute but the sound was really quiet. I found where the small tear was, and this time it was right up where the cable goes into the ear plug, I just died. I tried to tape the cable into a position where the sound was loud again with desperate hands, but I only made it worse! In the end, the left went completely mute and the right ear sound would flicker quiet then loud.I just threw them in the bin, I couldn't admit defeat and force myself to refund them again. And if you've cared to read this far I now have razer's hammerheads for £60 and they feel so much more solid and well-built compared to these earphones, plus their sound is rich and I just broke down because victory has never sounded so sweet.Yup, so enjoy them while you can! Again they are fantastic but they just break and break and break. I tried ignoring what people wrote about them online about how they break all the time but I was determined to keep them working for at least a quarter of the year! I'm not saying get hammerheads either, just if you live with music and sleep with music like I do and just constantly use them for your phone, laptop, iPod then these aren't reliable enough to work for you, and I'll bet their price doubled that they will break in a months time.

Excellent Sound
I have owned various pairs of Skullcandy headphones previously (FMJ's/Titans). When I ordered these I was a little worried that I might not enjoy them as much as my Titans, however they exceeded my expectations. The sound quality, in my opinion, is an improvement from the Titans in that the dynamics have been improved - excellent balance between bass, mid-range and the high ends. It would appear "Supreme Sound" delivers well.I mostly listen to rock/metal/industrial/blues/hip hop, but having showed these to two friends with differing tastes they both ordered a pair. The build quality of these seems robust enough, though time will tell. I obtained version 2.0 after having two pairs of the first version succumb to a fault with the left channel. These have not developed any faults so far so hopefully that has been addressed. The 3 buttons remote/mic do function on iOS devices (which I have tested) however I use an Android (HTC) phone where the microphone functions, but only the middle button works to pickup/end calls, and some basic music functions. The quality of the microphone is impressive and does not let much background noise through. Skullcandy do state only compatibility with iOS devices in terms of the remote buttons, so don't expect full functionality with Android, results will vary with different manufacturers etc.I find these headphones less prone to falling out of my ears than past Skullcandy items, but unless you ears match the dimensions of mine this might not help!Overall I love these headphones - I like to have a pair of headphones where I don't feel I need an equaliser to enhance the music, these are perfect for me without costing the earth, and an added bonus that I take calls without having to delve into my pocket for the phone!
