Vallejo Model Air Acrylic Paint Set, Luftwaffe Colors, Matte Finish, 18 ml for Airbrush, Ideal for Modeling and Miniatures

I'm painting my models with brushes, I've heard good words about Vallejo paints and decided to try them. This set is fantastic, the paints although being marketed for airbrush, they work really well on surfaces. I thin them even more (with Vallejo thinner for acrylic paints) and do multiple thin layers. The coverage and the color is fantastic. Also the are great value as they come as a set of the most useful colours. I've already got 4 kits in my stash that these colour codes will be useful on, without having to buy many additional paints (possibly some acrylic markers for the details). The included leaflet with all the Luftwaffe colours is a nice bonus. I'm very satisfied with these paints and will be buying the other sets as well.

Love the velejo war air paint sets. They are good value and accurate to the historical counter parts. And the leaflet with all the colours names and numbers is a welcome touch. Very useful P.S. I bought several of those sets, so each will have the same review from me

Sorry Vallejo, you really have to lose one star. This is not because of the paint which is absolutely fantastic - well worth 5+ stars, but because so far I have yet to find a way in which to store the bottles in such a way that each shade can be easily identified. I understand that black caps are 'Air' and white caps are 'Color' but short of lining my entire collection in a single, front facing row there is no way to determine the colour contained. This small gripe aside, the 'Air' colours are pre-diluted and can be directly used with an air-brush. The 'Color' range work well with brushes but can also be diluted with Vallejo thinners for air-brush use and have the advantage of a greater colour range.

These excellent vallejo acrylic paints are excellent for recreating the exact colours and tones on Luftwaffe aircraft from BF 109s, FW 190s to Aircraft such as late war jet fighters

I've been using Vallejo (pronounced "VI -eh- ho") "Air" acrylics for quite some time now, and they're excellent paints if you have an airbrush. As I understand them, they are specifically designed and formulated for airbrushing, and so are very thin to try to apply with a brush. Their color fidelity appears accurate when compared to my references, and they cover the models well and easily. They are, in fact, no pricier per ounce or milliliter than any of the competition and are readily available through dealers and the internet. I would however state that they work well with the Vallejo brands of thinner and flow improver; I have no idea of how compatible these paints are with other brands of thinners or flow improvers. For me, they're a pleasure to work with.

I’m learning to airbrush WWII aircraft model kits. Great colours. Fast service. Received product here in Canada from supplier afar very quickly. I wish there were more colours in the set, but they can be mixed and diluted to get various shades. I have several of these sets of the WWII vein and think they’re great. Love Vallejo air paints. Plus water base makes it easy to clean up.
