My 2 and a half year old adores this DVD, which he will always ask to watch in preference to Tractor Ted. The sound track, the filming and the commentary all work well to make this a captivating DVD. The attention to detail is great and I'm sure it is this which keeps my child absolutely fascinated. The DVD is educational but in a fun way and my little boy will often talk about what the animals were doing, long after he has finished watching the DVD. My little boy (and I) can't wait for the rest of the series to be released! Hurry up!

My two being 6 and 3 are big farming addicts, so have purchased all tractor ted dvds books etc which have been played and played so 'On the Farm' had alot to live up to and lm glad to say it rose to the occasion and on asking my two how it compared with tractor ted they both shouted its better much better.... Well done Bee Bright and of course Justin! A successful purchase to keep my two amused during our long trek to france for our in-car entertainment, they have been promised the next one and carnt wait.... Very informative with a friendly familar voice over, great stuff which keeps them glued to the screen and lots of laughter. (very rarely do l review but had to share this one with all other mums and dads who have farming mad little ones)

I bought this DVD as I discovered the series from short you tube excerpts, taken from these videos that my 2yr old insisted on watching over again. He's completely farming mad! There are 4 half hour episodes concentrating on each type of animal & they are brilliantly narrated by Justin fletcher who can engage both the younger & older children by keeping the narrative fun, simple & very educational. Brilliant DVD & we will buy more in the series.

I went online initially to buy tractor ted for my tractor mad 2.5 year old but saw this and am so glad I did. It's informative and interesting I even sat with him and learnt about animals. The fact Justin narrates it makes it feel like an old friend telling a story and there are no annoying theme tunes or songs. My son even lives the classical music at the end. If you have children who love farms and want a change from the usual cartoon aimed at this market, then I'd highly recommend.

This is the 4th of the Bee Bright range we have bought and once again it doesn't fail to fulfil our expectations. We have a 3 year old son and have bought many DVDs along similar lines but this is top of the list for both him and us. It is neatly split into 4 sections (sheep, pigs, cows and chickens) each of a suitable length to hold his attention but not leave him sitting there glued to the TV for hours. It is narrated by Justin Fletcher (Mr Tumble) so is a familiar voice for young children and features the characters of Buzz and Fizz. At first I wasn't sure about how suitable it would be for a young child with things such as lambing and milking covered but each subject is handled in a sensitive way that even very young children can understand, without being patronising. You can happily sit and watch this with your child without getting bored, well not the first 100 times anyway, and will probably learn something new too! The music isn't annoying as is often the case with these things and to be honest it just comes across as a quality product and not just a pile of clips that have cheaply been cobbled together as we have found with some other DVDs. We are eagerly awaiting the release of the next in the series, Mighty Machines! Hubby has just added that as is often the case with childrens DVDs when you've watched them so many times you start looking for/noticing mistakes - so far with Bee Bright we haven't found any. Speaks volumes!

I bought this DVD for my son and he certainly enjoys it. It was bought for the purpose of potty training as the reward. He loves the DVD and when we travel anywhere it is the only thing that keeps him entertained on the long motorway journeys. Justin has always been a firm favourite with my son from watching on Ceebeebie's. The only criticism is that the way Justin says tractor is not really how I would pronounce tractor but it is such a minor thing.

I bought this DVD for our grandson as he loves anything to do with animals and TRACTORS!!! Never having seen a bee bright film before I was unsure what the content would be, imagine my delight when we watched it together, my grandson was mesmerised as was I. We watched all four sections in one day and could have watched them again and again. It was all so factual from the birth of animals to shearing and dealing with poo of course. Very educational not only for the little ones, very well done!

Like the other reviewer, I first learned about beebright from a short segment on YouTube that highlighted shearing sheep. I had to find out how to get my own copy - as my kids were riveted and asked to watched it daily! I figured that an entire DVD would be loved and that it would be something both my husband and I would enjoy watching with them (we both grew up on farms in the Midwest). And I was right. The DVD was pricier than some, but has been worth every single penny. I am very picky about what I let my kids watch and this is very well done and very educational. I love how each segment is the perfect length (30 min. or so). In all there is 4 segments that highlight a different animal (cows, pigs, chickens, and sheep). The narrator - the footage is live on a farm - is easy to listen to with a British accent, and very informative. I love that there is also machinery involved since that is the highlight for my son. Needless to say we are huge fans and now are anxiously awaiting the arrival of the Incredible Crops DVD in the mail! (I ordered that one thru the beebright website as Amazon doesnt carry it). As a side note, since this was made in the UK there will be some things that are different. Most notably are their different weights and measurements used when describing things. I dont see this as a negative though, because I like that my children are getting exposed to other aspects of the world.

I bought this for a special needs young adult who loves farm animals. This DVD is very nicely done and very educational. I would recommend it for older children as well. Great pictures of the animals and how they live.

This CD did not work because they said it was in some different version that the American DVD player did not reconize, they did promptly refund our money

Wonderful for our pre-school class. Super resource DVD. I will order again. Great for our pre-school kids. Wish it was longer, but it is not to be.
