Great little audio player for running
Replacing a lost Sandisk Clip Sport - the new Plus offers bluetooth connectivity, which was easy to setup and use, and Audible Audiobooks (might have been on the old model, but didn't notice) - however make sure you configure downloads as HIGH QUALITY, otherwise it plays as mono (left ear only) through the Sandisk. Overall very happy - great value for money, and a good running companion

Not as good as its predecessors, the Clip Sport and Clip Jam.
UPDATE 4 July 2020: In my initial review posted below, I was having nothing but trouble with my original MP3 player I purchased. I sent it back and requested a replacement. 6 months on with the replacement, it is working flawlessly - No problems whatsoever! Bluetooth works perfectly every time, the clip on the back hasn't broken and the device is easy to use. I'm very happy with my replacement - it's changed my opinion of this device 180! ------------ Original Review 20th January 2020 ------------ As a veteran of Sandisks MP3 Players, I've previously owned the Clip Jam and Clip Sport and they were both very sturdy and very good players and lasted many, many years before being replaced. Sadly the newest generation, the Clip Sport Plus falls far short of my expectations. Start with the plus side first: - Standard Clip Sport look-and-feel to it and colourful. - Lightweight, small and unobtrusive. - Waterproof, rugged and shockproof. Great for sports and outdoor activities. - Choice of Bluetooth or 3.5mm jack for listening with. - Easy to transfer MP3 files from PC to MP3 player. Just navigate with Explorer and you're done. No special software needed here! Cons: - Marginally larger/ chunkier than the former Clip Sport. I recon this is due to it now being waterproof and more rugged for outdoor use. The connection ports have little covers to protect them from the elements. - Bluetooth! Bluetooth worked well the first few weeks, pairing to my earphones, car, phone flawlessly. Then suddenly it didn't want to know. Didn't want to connect. Tried resetting it, restart, updating firmware etc but to no avail. - The Clip on the back broke in the first week. My former Sandisk Sport and Jam both had clips, and both worked perfectly up until the end of their life and they were used on a very regular basis. - Buttons are harder to press. Recon this is due to the ruggedness and waterproof-ness of this new MP3 player. - Volume Restrictions. A lot of reviews complain about low volume. You can easily bypass this when you initially select your Region during setup. **DO NOT SELECT EUROPE!** Choose a different continent and you'll get full volume. The volume restriction is down to EU regulations, not SanDisk. In summary, I'm genuinely disappointed with Sandisks latest offering of their Clip Sport Mp3 player. Initially it's a great little thing, but the BT stopped working which was the reason I bought this MP3 player in the first place, so I could play my music through my wireless earbuds. Only after a mere 3 weeks, I've returned the MP3 player to Amazon for a replacement, and *touchwood* this new one might work better than the last one this time round. I'm willing to give Sandisk the benefit of the doubt but if this one also fails to work properly, it too will also go back for a refund and get a different brand of MP3 player all together. Time will tell. 5/10

A good value MP3 player, but without some of the bells & whistles of higher priced brands
I switched in April 2019 after my ten-year-old Creative Zen started to misbehave. I was looking at Sony Walkman style players, but they got very expensive if you wanted 16GB. So I gave SanDisk a try. The player is good value for the 16GB storage (I paid just over £40). It plays the formats I would expect. It is lightweight and fits easily into a pocket. I tend not to rely on the clip, just in case. It has survived the odd time I've dropped it, but as far as I can tell you can't get extra covers for it for added protection. It doesn't need any specific software to sync with your PC - you can just use Windows Explorer and Windows Media Player. This is a massive improvement as the Creative software was awful. You can play all tracks on shuffle, or choose by artist or album, as you would expect. You can add the songs you are listening to to a playlist just using the player. However, if you like to create huge playlists, that'll take a bit more effort. You need to put all the tracks you want in a playlist in one folder, highlight them all in Windows Explorer and right click to add to Windows Media Player playlist. There may be other better ways to do this, but this was the one I found online. You can then edit the playlist in WMP. The thing is, when you add music to the device, it automatically creates folders by artist, then album. So you'll have to move stuff around if you want to create a playlist this way. I need to experiment with adding tracks manually with WMP. I was quite happy with the earphones it came with. The sound was fine, the earphones fit me nicely. They've since died (September 2019) - but please note they used to rattle around in my handbag, getting wrapped around a hair brush and stuck under my wallet, so it's not like I treated them properly. I've read comments about the volume, but I just told the MP3 player I wasn't in Europe and I never have to turn the volume past 25%, if that. The battery life is good (though see below - I don't use bluetooth). When you charge it through your computer, it will assume you've added new tracks and will go back to the main menu, so bear that in mind if you're halfway through a playlist. It will also turn itself on if you plug it in. As a value player, it doesn't have the DJ functions - so no album of the day, highly rated, rarely heard, most popular etc. It doesn't cope very well with Japanese characters and doesn't always display them properly. When creating a WMP playlist, I had to convert the file names and titles into English characters, otherwise the playlist wouldn't find them. That may be a WMP problem more than the device's, though. If you're reorganising tracks on Windows Explorer, including changing folder structure and deleting old folders, be very careful - it is very easy to say yes to deleting what turns out to be the top folder, not the one you thought you were getting rid of. You can delete 100 tracks before being able to cancel! I've started to back up the whole folder structure onto my PC in case I do something foolish. It uses an odd USB connection - not a standard Android phone / PS4 / TomTom cable, nor the same one as my Nikon camera or the Creative Zen / PS3 cable. The cable that comes with it is very short. The battery isn't replaceable, but I'm hoping it lasts the same way the one in the Zen did. I don't use the Bluetooth or radio functionality so won't comment. Overall I'm very pleased with it, given the price. I miss the DJ function but for the price, I'm happy.

Just ok.
very good, however the clip broke and it's not possible to repair. kinda defeats the purpose as cannot be worn. the screen is hard to see, it doesnt light up enough. the navigation is not very intuitive and hard to switch songs / albums if you are running. i think it is somewhat practicle and cheap but not outstanding in any good way.

Does what it needs to do and does it well
All I wanted was a music player to play my music while I run, and this is perfect. The main plus for me with the San disk is the battery. My old iPod touch needed charging every day and wouldn't hold any battery. I've had the San disk 2 months and only charged it 3 times! Amazing. It is basic and not quite as intuitive as some devices - no matter what I try, playlists appear in 'folders' rather than in the playlist section, and I've only just worked out how to put a playlist on shuffle. But I didn't want to pay £200 for a device with loads of features I wouldn't use, so basic suits me fine. The clip is handy. The headphones aren't amazing but they never are, and these are better than most sets you get with music players. If you want a full entertainment device this obviously isn't for you, but if you just want something reliable to play music while you work out, this is excellent value.

Great value and good quality
I don't normally write reviews but after tormenting myself on what to replace my old IPOD with and really overthinking it for weeks I thought this might help others. You really cant beat this item for the value. It's a great little MP3, holds more songs than I could ever listen to which is great. So easy to upload your songs, just drop and drag, unlike IPod. Nice on screen display and very simple to use. Nice handy clip to use and great battery life. I read negative reviews but everyone has had a bad experience with something so you'll never get a flawless product review. The two negative things I read about I don't agree with. Volume was the first one. Yes ok it is a little bit quieter than an IPOD but certainly loud enough if you put the volume to it's max and adjust in settings. The other small thing I read about was the clip snapped because its made of plastic. I don't think its weak at all and its a smart neat looking little compact MP3. After searching for months and having a certain budget I really recommend it if its just for music to train to or listen to on a train etc its great. If your a music fanatic and into technology and dowloading files etc then maybe you can go higher in price but does the job well for the money.... Sandisk is a well known brand and when it comes to electrical equipment I always feel you should go with a brand name.

So many problems... Poor quality
I was looking for an MP3 player for my wife's dance class, so it had to have the ability to create playlists. This one said it had that function, and it does, however it took me many days and hours of frustration to make it work. The instructions are wrong! So yes, you can make playlists, but be prepared for a lot of head scratching! Next is the battery life... After fully charging the device and using it for 40 minutes, we assumed that it would still have some charge left after 2 days of no use. Wrong! Completely flat. I charged it up again to full and without even using it, 2 days later it was flat. Rubbish! Then, out refused to turn on 10 minutes before my wife's dance class was about to start! Panic as I tried to get the songs from my pc to my phone. After googling, apparently this had happened to other people. The solution is to hold the ON button for about 2 minutes! Why? Ridiculous. Finally, and the most stupid thing of all, is the volume. We play this through a powered speaker but the volume is so low that even with the speaker on full volume it is nowhere near loud enough. If I turn up the volume on the device, it gets to halfway and then warns you about damage to your ears! Are you serious? You then have to wait for about 2 second until it makes you answer YES to an "are you sure" prompt and then you can turn the volume to full, which is only just loud enough. What could be more annoying? Well, the fact that the device does to standby after only a few seconds and then the volume resets and you have to go through the whole process again! I stupidly the away the packaging so I can't return it, but it really is a poor quality item and very unreliable. Should have got a Sony Walkman. I now have to go with my wife to dance classes as she isn't confident enough to cope with the problems it brings every time she uses it.

Fantastic Little Device.
I use my SanDisk Clip Sport Plus Wearable MP3 Player to listen to audiobooks mostly, and I can't fault this little beauty. I can turn off my MP3 player and know that I can return to exactly where I left off, and that's very important for me. And it's a sturdy little thing too. Can't praise it enough.

Ottimo acquisto
Leggero e semplice da utilizzare. L'audio tramite delle cuffie Sony è eccezionale. La batteria dura proprio tanto. Unico neo forse il display piccolo ma non è indispensabile visto che ci si ascolta musica e non si guardano films.
