2-in-1 Daily Aloe Shampoo & Shower Wash - Natural & Organic Aloe Vera - Silicone & SLS Free - Vegan, 200ml

I bought this on the recommendation of a friend as I have been bothered with an itchy, flaky scalp for years which no amount of anti-dandruff, sensitive scalp, medicated, prescription or baby shampoos have helped! I did worry about spending so much on a shampoo but in comparison with some more well-known brands, for the amount you use (a little really does go a long, long way), it would be comparable or cheaper in price. On the first use I thought that the shampoo felt very different from any other shampoo I've ever used, in that it made my hair feel odd when I was lathering it, but after rinsing it off and drying my hair...WOW!.. what a difference! My hair was shiny and soft and my scalp wasn't anywhere near as itchy as it had been. After a week of use I have hardly any dandruff and my hair looks fantastic, even to the extent that people have been commenting on how healthy and shiny my hair looks! Being nasty-chemical-free and 92% organic makes it even more attractive to me. I absolutely love this product and use it with the conditioner and shower gel every day! My only regret is that I didn't know about it years ago!

Great as an all rounder standalone in summer. I feel it provides enough moisture to almost nullify the conditioner.

I will be honest i was a use any old shower gel on my hair type of guy.Then after a bad case of dandruff and having to use a medicated shampoo to get things in order i started looking for something more natural on the scalp. I found this after a google search and have used it for past 3 years with great results.I love that its has none of the weird unpronoinceable ingredients that most products. I did think that would be a inferior product but its far from the truth a little goes a long way it has a nice smell thats almost relaxing when applied. And best of all it does a great job and leave the hair feel soft and clean better than other shampoos i have used previously. The cost is a factor but for the risk of irritating my scalp again and going back to sqaure one i would happily pay the extra cost to avoid prescriptions which cost more than this alone.

So probably not the most exciting title for a review but if you are, like me, sensitive to this chemical which appears in just about EVERYTHING, then the title will make you happy. It's getting harder and harder to find hair stuff that doesn't contain 'benz' in any of the ingredients & I found this after more than an hour of getting steadily more and more hysterical; there are only so many ingredients lists you can read without feeling slightly psychotic. Unlike a lot of natural shampoos, this one does actually foam, so that was a nice surprise. It also doesn't smell like your nans toilet freshener, which is also nice. Nicest is that it works and my hair feels great. I bought the intensive conditioner to go with it as my hair is bleached & that too is quite lovely. My only advice is not to tip the bottle too much as it's quite runny & you'll end up with much more than you need. So please please please Green People, don't do what so many others have & reformulate this to contain any benzoate related ingredients. I'm quite enjoying not be covered in itchy lumps.

What opted me to try this product was 5 minute google search " harmful shampoo ingredients". I cross references the search results with my bathroom's contents. The three bottles of shampoo at hand - head and shoulders, pantene and aussie (sorry for spelling those are wife's products) failed terribly. Truth is no one spends single minute looking at the long list of ingredients that harm your hair scalp and environment. This shampoo has none of the harmful ingredients I found in my google search. It does the job washing my hair granted coming from head and shoulders hair is somewhat harder to wash as it bands together also there is less volume and shine after washing but I am content knowing I that havn't poured half periodic table on my head. On my 6th bottle now. There was an occasion or two where I used my old head and shoulders and to my amazement while that product was fine for me all the years I've used it I guess my scalp developed a tolerance but after a break my old head and shoulders irritated my scalp which is something that never happened before. Never going back to chemical ridden shampoos again.

I tend to have oily hair and used to use Head & Shoulders anti-dandruff shampoo but I have since consciously switched to natural shampoos without nasty ingredients, parabens, SLS etc. This is usually a good brand but this shampoo caused my scalp to itch and flake really badly, so much so, that it gave me psoriasis on my scalp and took a year to correct it with other shampoos. It caused a lot of grief. I don't know why but I suspect the PH is too harsh, similar to some homemade shampoos with Castille soap, where the PH is not neutral enough and tends to be very drying long term. Won't be buying this ever again.

The subject heading really summarizes it - I would urge prospective buyers to request a sample from the company/manufacturer...and then have a good long sniff. It is true, taste does vary but the scent of THIS product is DEFINITELY a niche preference or aquired taste. Be aware that it smells VERY medicinal. Not "clean and fresh", not merely very masculine...but medicinal in the sense that you will smell as if you used something to treat some kind of horrible scalp disease like ringworm. NOT the effect the average person is after when washing their hair. The closest meaningful scent description would be "my granny's mothballs". However....despite the deeply offputting scent in the bottle, it is actually a good mild shampoo. The mothball scent, mercifully, doesn't linger too long. On my hair ( very fine but lots of it + greasy scalp with dry midlength & ends) it lathered well and cleaned well without overstripping. My hair was shiny, didn't look or feel weighed down and my scalp was very happy, too. Incidentally, I used the matching conditioner with it. Summary: if scent isn't an issue - or you love the smell of dry lavender mixed with something medicinal ( which to me equals mothballs) - try it. But, ideally, buy a sample size

I use this shampoo alongside other normal shampoos. I find it really cleans my scalp and helps to keep my hair from becoming greasy. I have slightly mad curly, very fine hair and have really struggled to find shampoo that doesn't leave the ends of my hair parched and the roots greasy. The only issue is for me is that the conditioners aren't very good so it dimishes the shampoo slightly because without conditioner this shampoo does leave my hair VERY tangled. I use this shampoo and alternate it with normal cheaper shampoos and conditioners and that seems to work.

This is my go-to shampoo. However, the latest price increase after the re-branding is absolutely crazy! Sadly already looking for alternatives…
