933C Travel Safety Razor

This cleverly designed travel razor takes up less space than anything else in my wash bag, and shaved very well.It’s lighter than the equivalent standard safety razor but feels easy and safe to use.If you love wet shaving, get one of these for travelling.

Expensive for what it is. It's a reasonable quality metal razor when assembled - the handle unscrews as usual, and then the handle unscrews into 2 parts itself. A very cheap and nasty pouch is supplied to hold the pieces, but it is very easy for the small parts to slip out accidentally - which happened to me. Somehow I have lost one of the handle pieces, so now the whole thing is useless and a waste of money. The supplied case also does not have any storage for blades - so you will need a separate box or case for those as well.

This is a great travel razor, compact but good quality. It is in a small leather pouch which protects it in your wash bag. Great for traveling.

The blade that came with it was poorly wrapped in thin tissue paper, and had already cut through it inside the pouch and I ended up stabbing my finger badly in trying to get the pieces out. I expected more from Merkur.

I have now used this razor for a few weekends away, having bought it some time ago. It gives the same good shave as any Merkur or similar Muhle head, and it packs away easily in to its tiny pack, where there is also room for a spare blade ( in its sleeve) if you wish. No compromises here, and it has worked very well with both oil and soap/brush.

My daily, and much appreciated, razor is a Merkur too (a Futur) - with a Feather blade that is perfect for me. But it is a bit heavy to take on trips where I want liughtweight luggage; therefore I got this Merkur travel razor - small, lightweight, surely a good solution? Nope. With a Feather blade it hardly takes off any hair at all. I tried various other blades, including Astra - but however much I keep going over my chin and cheeks, this 933C is not doing a good job - or any job at all, almost! An expensive mistake, I am going to throw it away and look for another solution...

Neat, compact and very usable. The small pouch is good enough quality. If space is a premium then go for this one. It's as good as a full size razor just a little lighter.

Superb little razor. Seems to be the same profile head as the 34C I also own, giving similarly spectacular results. A thing of beauty; recommended.
