Quiet, cool (to freezing if needed) in all temperatures.
Bought this for camping in our tent, after 2 weeks on 240v mains it performed superbly, always keeping the food chilled to a little above freezing (the cooling plate cools to the point of freezing - just like a domestic fridge). Pros 1. Keeps cool, even in 49'C tent ! 2. Would frreeze as needed if set high enough. 3. Lightweight despite having a metal exterior. 4. Easy to clean. 5. Totally silent, no pump or fan noise or any other noise of any kind. Wouldn't even know it was on. Cons - None as such Improvements that could be made 1. There's room inside the casing for electrical cable housing - then those wires/cables/plugs are out of the way ! 2. The flap lid to the control panel is always coming open when you carry it, leaving potential for break off - sort it - slide it ! 3. The main lid is not properly sealed airtight, seal it with a replaceable rubber seal - the multi-fin type. 4. The main lid is not clamped shut, add a flush metal catch to shut it & even lock it. 5. The nice metal casing looks flash (Pro ??) but dents easily (Con ??) and will tarnish at some point, could this be done in a plastic instead? 6. Could you make one with sturdy, detachable levelling legs/feet (about 3 inches tall would do) - screw up in. This provides the clearance for aircirculation - I bought a small low table to stand it on - unlevelled - when full it collapsed. Not tried on 12v or gas yet.

Brilliant Cooler!
This cooler is brilliant. If I had realized how good I would have bought one a long time ago instead of these plug in cool boxes that don't really work that well. This is a small size fridge freezer. It will easily go down to -15C if you feel you want to. The three way power is excellent working very well in each mode. You need to be aware that the unit does draw 7-8 amps on twelve volts, however the thermostat ensures that it is not drawing that all the time, so the plug does not heat up. The one on my ordinary cooler draws 2-3 amps but is on all the time and so gets hot if used for an extended period. The unit is large but surprisingly not as heavy as it looks. It appears robustly made. We use it for travel to and from our caravan, and at home it is plugged in 240 volt all the time, drawing 0.35 amps when the thermostat clicks in. I was so impressed I bought a second for my step son.

Fantastic camping fridge
I camp a lot, and with a 3 week trip through Europe coming up I decided that I wanted to upgrade on my electric cool box. This fridge opens at the top, but it is a proper fridge rather than a cool box, in fact it's so efficient that if you set it too cold it will freeze your drinks! You can use it plugged into the mains, or a car socket or with a gas bottle. I have used it all 3 ways and it's worked like a dream. Yes you have to be careful to keep it level when using it with gas, bit I haven't had any problems. Since we've been home from our trip this fridge has seen regular use as a beer fridge for parties, a travel fridge in the car for long trips and for various family members who have borrowed it. I know it looks expensive but it really is one of the best things I've ever bought and it's been worth every penny.

Changed camping forever
Used this fridge while camping without mains hookup , so used it on gas supply from a bottle. What a great fridge it kept all the food and beer cold even in warm conditions . Had to keep the thermostat at medium or the fridge just got too cold and froze the beer. Much better than the 12v cold box we used to use, and it hardly used any gas at all. Makes ice cubes as well. The build quality is second to none and the aluminium case looks premium. Well pleased and would not go back to a cool box which did not really do the job!! . Don't have to worry about mains power anymore .

A good bit of kit that keeps things cold
A great fridge for camping. It took me a while to decide to buy one of these given its size and cost so here is a balanced view following its first camping trip. Positives: - It keeps things cold! Thought, as advised, its best to have it on power over night to get the temp down before heading off. I have used this on 240v, 12v and gas and all work really well. - Ease of use: The first time you start it on gas its a little tricky but you quickly learn how and then it was first time every time there after. I haven’t yet established the differences in temp against the control settings but it seemed cold enough (20c outside) on the mid setting. - Solid build (with one exception, see below). I spent a little extra and got the aluminium case version and glad I did. It’s a little lighter but much more robust. Doors and knobs etc all seem robust and well made. - It makes zero noise. Negatives: - One of the feet fell off the first time I used it. It was too much hassle to return so I glued it on and all now seems fine. - Not really a negative but just a factor to be aware of. It does give off quite a bit of heat, especially in one area when on the gas. I wouldn’t put it against a tent wall or in an enclosed space to avoid heat damage.

Switched on 5 hours later.....doesn’t work.
Ordered a good 5 weeks before I travel, was expecting it in 3-5 days took over two weeks for delivery, I’m patient so wasn’t a biggie. The issue, it doesn’t work, no cooling what-so-ever, plugged into wall and followed instructions, highest setting for 5 hours then choose your preferd temp, was warm when I got it and 5 hours later, the feeling of the exact same temperature before I plugged in and switched on. My big issue now, I’m leaving soon, having to return this for a replacement and I don’t think I’ll get the new unit on time. Amazon have let themselves go, I prefer to do business on the other popular auction site, I get great delivery with no annual fees and good experience all round. I’m writing this after 7 hours from delivery, and getting a little worked up before my travels ah thank you so much Amazon! Didn’t try gas or 12v system as I want all three to work.

Works well on gas and 240V
I've tried this so far on mains electricity and propane gas and it cools down well. Simple, but nicely made. Will report back after it's been used on a camping trip. Update a year later having used it for camping a few times. It's fantastic and a real game changer to keep it stuff cold indefinitely in the tent without worrying about freezer packs. I run it off a propane bottle and gas usage is not noticeable. You can load it up at home whilst plugged in to 240V, then move to the car on 12V and then switch to gas on site.

Lightweight. Silent. Cold after 5hrs of cooling down
Excellent product. I have it running on 3 and there is frost inside when the outside temperature is 37. Drinks are nice and cold, perfect for camping as it is silent or fir caravanning. I use it in the garden to keep the beers cold, so good value all round
