The Gardener's Friend Heavy Duty Ratchet Secateurs

My first ever secateurs so nothing to compare them to, but oh my they are wonderful. Easy to hold and use, no great force needed even to cut through thick branches with the ratchet mechanism. I've had these for just over 4 years now and they are still going strong. I keep the blade clean by wiping with with oil when needed. Highly recommended.

Cut well nice and comfortable in hands which does help with arthritis only thing is the catch is stiff and hard to open sometimes otherwise a great product which does the job I purchased it for would recommend this item

Excellent secateurs... Where have they been all my gardening life. ( Now 70 in 2 days) Lifetime gardener including professionally. These are the best.. sharp, easy to use without too much effort on older fingers, good weight and look good too. I have another well known brand but these are far superior. A pleasure to use. Very pleased with my purchase.

I have a muscle wasting disease which affects my fingers and I also have arthritis in my thumb joints. This means that I am no longer able to use my ordinary secateurs. I was very sad about this because I enjoy gardening. I hesitated in making a purchase because of some of the 1-star reviews but I took the plunge and I am very pleased that I did. Contrary to these reviews, I have no problem with the safety catch even though I have very weak fingers. I also have no trouble with the oily sponge bit falling out but, even if I did, it is hardly an essential feature - more like a clever added extra. To be honest, at the end of a gardening session, I get a rag and some WD40 to clean all my tools - so the oily sponge is rarely used (just when I've gone out for a quick snip). The good news is that I am able to use these secateurs. It is such a delight to be able to get back in the garden again. These secateurs are great for cutting fairly thick, hard wood - even if you have weak hands. They are also great at the other end of the scale and will actually cut green, delicate stems rather than tearing them.

The ratchet function stopped working within half an hour. So I bought some better ones.

La cosa più interessante di queste cesoie è il cricchetto. E' un grande aiuto, perché il taglio viene affrontato in più fasi e non occorre applicare la sola forza delle mani per troncare rami di 2 cm di diametro. Non ho voluto esagerare e provare il taglio dei 2,5 cm che il foglio illustrativo dichiara possibile. Trovo solo scomoda la posizione e la soluzione adottata per il fermo. Era tanto duro che ho dovuto allentarlo con il cacciavite, ma allentandolo in modo che fosse adatto alla forza delle mie dita, temevo che saltasse via la vitina.

Terrific product for small branch pruning. The ratchet feature allows you to cut branches cleanly of up to 1 inch or more in diameter with ease. Much, much better than pruning shears without the ratchet feature. I have had mine for several years and it still works perfectly. Highly recommended.

Ich bin zufrieden, sie schneidet sehr kraftvoll und sauber!! Die Verriegelung hält auch sehr gut und lässt sich auch gut wieder einhändig entsperren.

Au moment de tailler mes quelques 80 fruitiers de mon verger et après 4 heures de taille : douleur au poignet. En l'absence de taille l'an dernier, beaucoup de bois et "goumands" de gros diamètre ( 20 à 25 mm env.) Livré 36 heures après ma commande, je suis ravi ! Léger, maniable, robuste et à moitié pris de mes sécateurs pro, il dépasse mes espérances. Je recommande vivement cet achat pour le confort qu'il apporte. A ce prix là, c'est un super rapport qualité/prix ...

La compré dudando de que realmente funcionara, pero mi sorpresa ha sido que: - Funciona: Solo hay que cogerle el truco, es decir, no cortar de una vez, sino a pocos porque va ejerciendo fuerza a tramos y finalmente corta. - Dura: Llevo con ella un par de años y sigue cortando bien y funcionando. ¿La volvería a comprar? Sí, con los ojos cerrados. Se ha vuelto un imprescindible para no maltratar mis manos.
