Never caught a crappie using these for some reason. I have them stuck on the point of my hook with a soft plastic on a jig head. I catch fish without them but whenever I use no fish…

I started using these several years ago after someone told me about them. My favorite way to use them is take a lead jig hook & tie it onto your line or leader, put a black and chartreuse tube jig on then take a Crappie Nibble and put it on the tip of the hook. I then let it free fall to the bottom (We fish in about 20 - 30 ft of water) and slowly reel up. You will feel a hard thump of a crappie taking the jig into its mouth and that's when you set the hook. Since the Crappie Nibbles are quite soft, they do not effect the hookset whatsoever, which is nice. Like someone else stated in their review, if you leave the lid off they will firm up a bit. While we still catch fish without the nibbles, they defiantly result in more bites when we use them. Enough so that I buy them yr after yr & that's saying something because I won't waste my money on products that don't work. I should also state that I have only used the chartreuse colors. I'm pretty new to fishing, but these Crappie Nibbles made it super easy to get started. They're simple to use, stay on the hook better than I expected, and the fish seem to love them. I’ve had a lot more bites since I started using these. Perfect for anyone just starting out and looking for an easy, effective bait. Definitely keeping a jar in my tackle box from now on. I highly recommend for anyone into fishing sports.

If you don't want to catch more fish don't buy these. They work great. They have a good smell to them for the fish. They also are a great value for the added fun they bring you.

These nibbles are very attrative for crappies, very satisfied for the result! Just hook on jigs, with little plasitic bait for crappie. I tried hook it with salted minnow also, it works as well. Hooked up small mouth bass and walleye as well! Easy to store, carrying and using.
