I want to use this headphone in combination with an equestrian communication system. How long is the wire?

I bought mine about 8 years ago and they have really lasted well, but the length of the lead may have changed with newer models. The total length of the cable is just about 48 inches. However about 36 inches from the plug, the cable splits in two to go to the two ear pieces - if you are with me. I used these in a gym and used to have the cable running over my shoulder to my ipod clipped to the back of my shorts, and the cable was just the right length. I would just add that in my view -these are fantastic headphones.

I want to use these to listen to audio books while in bed- is there much sound leakage?

Shouldn't think that audio books would present much of a disturbance. The levels would be much lower than with certain types of music. But one must bear in mind that these headphones are open backed. I have a couple of pairs of these, one over fifteen years old. Possibly the best headphones you can get for the money.

I've heard Porta PRO and Sporta PRO are just different design choice but same speakers, can you approve that?

Yep I've had both of these phones stripped them down (to relpace cables) & they use the same drive units just buy the cheapest version you can
