MAS 6Pcs Ignition Coil Pack & 6Pcs Motorcraft Platinum Spark Plug SP520 Compatible with Ford Flex Fusion Lincoln MKS MKZ 3.7 3.5 V6 Replacement for UF553 SP589

Direct replacement for my 10 year old Explorer. Said they do not fit but they do. Took about an hour to change out all six spark plugs and ignition coils. Even came with pre-gapped spark plugs which minimized installation time

I put these into my 2013 Ford Explorer 3.5L. they are very well packaged. The spark plugs had a protector so the spark lead would get offset from any impact in traveling. The spark plugs went right in and torqued without issue.The ignition coil fit as expected and sealed as they should.At an idle and when driving I was easily able to tell there were not issues with the electrical signal.

Which is a SUV, that I don't drive as if it's a race car. The engine wasn't under a lot of stress when this happened, maybe 65-75% throttle for less than 6 seconds as I was accelerating from a stop to merge onto a major roadway.I installed Brand new Motorcraft Iridium plugs at the same time as the coil packs, that tells me that it wasn't the plugs fault.The detonation shattered the front center spark plug porcelain, cracked the front left and right spark plug porcelain and cracked the center rear spark plug porcelain.That was fun making sure none went into the engine, then waiting for a friend to bring a borescope, did I mention this all happened while visiting family so I didn't have any tools. I only had Forscan and my OBD adapter because I always do. It's part of my car.I confirmed the coil pack issue with Forscan by readings the misfires, then moved coil-on-plug pack to another plug to make sure it wasn't electrical.I've only replaced the one coil-on-plug pack thus far, and all the spark plugs of course. Engine runs a lot rougher than it used to, especially at idle which is a shame considering how much money I have wrapped up into this car and into the maintenance on itAll it takes is one cheap product to ruin it all in an instant. I'm saving for a certified Ford rebuilt engine because I am unsure how long this one will last now.

Excellent quality genuine motorcraft spark plugs and coils!

One of the six failed in the first week, the rest are still good after 10k miles. I assume the one was just defective but I couldn't figure out how to contact the seller to get a replacement for just one.

I purchased this item seems like a good deal installation was easy a few months later the coil is going dead and each time the coil goes dead its costing me more money to fix it 1 by 1 not happy hope the people that took my money can help me in this matter...

The coil packs do not fit a Ford F150. You need to update the product description. It’s a complete waste of time to order and then have to return them as they are useless and not compatible
