Sony AKAMCP1.SYH MC Protector - Black/White

I would recommend this product as it is really good. Only problem- it is very expensive

This is another Sony-branded accessory that has left me feeling a little bit let down. The FDR-X3000 is a fab little camera but with the 'go against the grain' design it means that you have to keep buying these little accessories that keep adding to an already expensive piece of kit.This item works well and does what it's supposed to do (in the main). My only gripe would be that it doesn't lock on fully and, on a couple of occasions, it has come away from the body of the camera with very little force, even with the unit supposedly locked. Bearing in mind that it's supposed to protect the lens from accidents it seems a little strange that the thing falls off if someone sneezes.Still, in the main, it's OK. It's just doesn't come close to the quality of the camera.

It works and protects the lens of the camera BUT why oh why does it need to be so big and heavy? As the tripod screw on the camera is towards the rear of the camera and this great lump of a protector goes on the front it increases the inherent imbalance of the camera and makes mounting the camera - already a Sony problem - even more tricky as you have to compensate for forward rotation. It even makes it more awkward to use in the finger grip. Don't Sony ever use any of their cameras or the accessories?

Very expensive for what it is essentially a piece of glass with a bit of plastic wrapped around the edge but a great accessory if you don't want the bulk of the underwater housing.

THis lens protector is very well done, good quality, not shaking at all. It also gives camera more professional look. Looks amazing together.

I ordered this when I ordered the camera. It's not cheep for what it is but when you spend out for the camera it is a safe guard against the lens being damaged. It fits on easily and has a little string to attach it to the camera so it wont fall if it comes off or you don't want to use it for any reason. Basically, it's a must for the camera Sony X3000.

Es la SEGUNDA que hemos comprado. Tenemos DOS, ahora. La 1000FXD, es un poco lenta para iniciar la grabación, y con guantes, en la moto, algo más dificill. la 3000 no tiene esos problemas, va mejor estabilizada y muy fácil de operar con ella. Un poco cara sí que es.

Der Preis ist zwar meiner Meinung sehr gesalzen, aber ist halt SONY. Die Qualität und auch Passgenauigkeit ist genial. Schutz die linse sehr gut.

Rassure beaucoup d'avoir un écran protecteur, une erreur est vite arrivé et cette protection est de très bonne qualité, se lock parfaitement.
